good basic camera

reasonably effective and user-friendly

The camera takes good pictures; operating it though does not always work quite as the instructions in the comprehensive manual suggest. I have to say I am still figuring out many features that don't seem to be explained in the manual through trial and error. Also BB sent only one code for a Shutterfly book after the TWO purchases.
