Excellent zoom camera for amateurs

We're not trying to take photos like pros and don't want to spend $500 plus on a digital SLR. This one is really a point-and-shoot but feels in hand more like a real camera, and importantly it provides a fantastic 50x zoom that no cell phone can! Photo quality is good enough for us.
