This is a light-weight but powerful camera. It's stabilizing feature is great when trying to take pictures in a moving vehicle. Sharp, clear photos especially in telephoto mode.

First let me say this. This camera is nice and good for this price range, which is why it has 4 stars and I would recommend it.... If you can get past the following points... **Please note though, the whole purpose of this purchase was for a higher megapixel camera that could give me crisp macro (close up) photos of my artwork. That being said, here's my opinion: 1. This camera is tiny! Think almost flip phone size, which makes it very awkward and hard to grip right with average adult hands. 2. Very impressive zoom photos. I used it to take exterior detail photos for an insurance claim. When I took 2nd floor photos of the details around windows, you would have thought they were first floor! So it did what I needed it to there. 3. No cords come with it. You take the battery out to charge it using a plug in adapter. 4. I ended up not being able to get it to connect to my laptop at all, so I just took the memory card out each time. This was a let down. 5. Cannon menus are a bit confusing to me. My son has a T5, which I tried to use a few times before and couldn't get the hang of things. Beginners be careful and really read the manual and try how to videos online. 6. There's a clicking noise it makes. It's the small metal pieces making up the lense protector. So when it's closed/off, for some reason mine made noises when I moved it around. Just an annoyance. 7. Okay here's the main reason I took it back. The closer shots were not as impressive as I expected per the many reviews saying it's good for that. I'm sure it's better than average though. However, in my case, I need really detailed photos of my artwork to be able to make prints of good quality. This did not deliver. Now, I might have been expecting way too much for a $200 range camera, but I was just going by other's opinions. So there ya go. This is just MY humble opinion also lol. I would call myself a hobbiest photographer. Not an expert, but more than a beginner. Thank you!

Bought to replace my old camera which stopped working. All of the new features that cameras have now are very impressive as well as being lightweight and small. The sales representative at Best Buy was very knowledgeable and helpful. Fastest high dollar purchase I ever made.

Purchased this camera as a gift for my wife. Being technically challenged she is able to take quality photos with the automatic settings. Small and compact, it fits in her purse making it readily available. Hadn't had the camera long enough to comment of the battery life.

I use this camera regularly and it performs well. The main selling point for this camera is its small size which makes it easy to carry anywhere I go - I always have it with me and use it more than my larger digital 35 mm Nikon. It takes great pictures and has a variety of settings that are easy to use. It also has a nice wireless feature that allows me to transfer photos from the camera to other devices like my cell phone - handy for quickly posting pictures to facebook and such.

Purchased this quickly since my wife's previous camera died while we were on a cross country trip. Features: Small Size 25X optical Zoom Good battery life (about240 shots/battery charge) Compact charger Good control button positions Easy Setup Screen better than many in bright sun Whines: Extra Battery was difficult to get. Best Buy didn't have one. I think the model was pretty new when we purchased ours) Doesn't Shoot RAW Tiny cameras make for interesting situations if you have big hands Best Buy's recommendation for a second charger doesn't work with this battery.

I purchase this camera as a supplement to my DSLR cameras. I wanted something with a higher quality over my iPhone. I choose this version based on cost and size. It fits in my pocket, doesn't take up much space in my camera bag, and is easy to operate. I have not set up the WI-FI function, but I don't have any need for that option. The camera was ready to use out of the box. The photo quality is better than my iPhone, which was exactly what I wanted.

I bought this camera for quick use using the old SD card and new technology. I couldn't be happier with it. Takes quick amazing pictures and the battery never seems to go down! 100's of photos and still showing 3 bars! I highly recommend it!

Bought this camera as I wanted a camera that would fit in my pocket. Love it. A lot of camera for such a small one. I like that the flash pops up, the wifi feature and that it has a great zoom on it. It has so many features that I have not even begun to use yet. Taking a trip to Australia in March and I am sure this small camera will be easy to carry on all of our excursions.

We just got back from a 2 week trip to Europe, I took lots of picture. I like the camera overall. However, there are 2 things that I didn’t like it as much : slow focus at the zoom (not an issue if you’re taking a landscape), and WiFi is not working well with iPad. All pictures turned out great, I really enjoyed taking pictures with “live” option where you can adjust light, etc and see the effect before you take a picture.

I use this camera primarily for indoor shots of family members, including my dog. It is easy and fun to use. The pics are much better than those from my phone, and the camera is so small I forget it's in my purse. I would buy this again!

I've had this camera for about 2 years. It takes better pictures than any camera I've ever owned, including fancier and more expensive "bridge super zoom" style ones. It is also just small enough to fit inside a reasonably large coat pocket. I use a small belt pouch. It contains several menus with numerous adjustments. However, if you want full manual control, this is probably not the camera for you. And, it is probably not the best choice for taking rapid motion sports and action shots. But for general photography, it takes good clear and crisp photos with good color and depth. To me the photos look significantly better than those taken with my I-phone. The 25x zoom range is just right. You can zoom in to take the photo you want, without having to crop it later using software. It also takes decent 1080P videos. There is no viewfinder. You must use the screen on the back of the camera to frame your shot. For me, this has not been a problem. Shots are reasonably quick without the lag of older cameras. The camera works reasonably well with my Apple I-phone. Pictures can be retrieved using the phone app and some remote control of the camera is also possible. Most of the time, I just use a USB cable to download the photos to my computer. The only disappointment is that you must take out the battery and put it in a separate charger. At least for my unit, the battery will not charge while installed in the camera. This is a nice alternative to superzoom cameras that are too big to carry around and tiny cameras that are too small and offer little or no improvement over using a cell phone.

I have always been a fan of Canon cameras. This camera did not disappoint. The features are exactly what I was looking for and it includes wifi which I wasn't looking for but I am excited to use. The ONLY issue I have (and the cause of the 4/5 stars) is the flash is truly manual. Would it be that hard to include an auto release when the flash is needed? But other than that a great camera to add to my collection.

This camera takes clear pictures of various sizes. I like a more automatic flash but this one is ok. The auto focus could be a bit quicker. I'm a home inspector and under houses a lot. The dust can kick up and get in various areas of the camera so I have to clean it frequently. If you're not using it in this type of environment then the camera is a great everyday camera.

I was surprised how small it is. The pictures are actually nice for a such small camera, although nothing to be excited about. Quality is rather comparable to cell phone and not to SLR, which is totally expected. It seems well made. The battery holds the charge long enough for a whole day field trip, which is something I cannot say about my cell. Overall, it meets my expectations, but does not exceed them, which is why I give it 4 out of 5.
