I did a fair amount of research in purchasing a camera for daughter-Senior in HS. Wanted one with a good quality lens and distant zoom. This camera fits the bill on both accounts. Daughter has been using since receiving at Christmas. Happy with the quality of pictures it is taking and still exploring all of its features.

This is my third upgrade on a Canon compact camera. This has super zoom capabilities without the heavy weight to the camera. They improved the location and size of the shooting button and the on/off button. The flash now has a manual button on the side. They slightly improved the flash space but still awkward and slim space for your finger to hold the camera. But still a great travel compact camera!

In looking for a camera, a high optical zoom was one of the main features that was desired. This camera definitely meets that requirement. The camera takes great pictures. The battery life is very good. Note to self: Either remember to charge the battery when taking once-in-a-lifetime photographs, or get another batter.

Great product. At the top end of the "Point & Shoot" cameras, to be sure. Easy to handle, fantastic color, & 30X zoom. Also has image stablizer, for those with shaky hands (ME). Pricewise, a great "Middle Of The Pack" camera

Easy to learn, easy to use, great features and great pictures...couldn't ask for more!

Easygoing to use, very fast, very flexible camera. Loaded with enough memory you can shoot a year on a chip and every picture will be great. Flash requires manual release, but shots in low light are sometimes better than with the flash. Great for the price.

I am really enjoying this camera because it takes clear pictures and is easy to use.

I chose this camera because it was a Canon, had good close up and zoom capabilities for the subjects I like to photograph. (birds, bugs and scenery) I've had multi lenses film cameras in the past, and point and shoot. This camera was a nice upgrade from my present cameras, without making a major investment of more equipment than I need.

This camera is awesome! If you're debating between this and the newer version of this, save your $ and get this one. The other one has either slow motion film or time lapse (I don't remember which one) but this has features that one does not; I don't know the specific features off of thr top of my head because it's been a few weeks since I compared all of the specs but this is the one to get!

Perhaps working with pretty amazing cameras the last few years has made me a hard customer to please, but I have to say that this is anything but an everyday snap and shoot camera. I bought this to take pictures during my wedding weekend adventure. It did take pictures but I found myself messing with the settings much more than I should have. It almost feels as if this camera was from 1999. I bought a state of the art chip with lots of space for pics, and though it can take pictures quickly, I still found the photos had terrible quality. I didn't want to mess with a bulky high resolution camera but found myself doing as much work with less reward. Also- the flash is the most annoying thing in the world when you want to snap and shoot. Do not buy this camera!!!!

We were looking for a camera with good quality that was small and lite. I think we found it.

For a point and shoot, this camera has a great zoom and the overall picture quality is top-notch. However, it is lacking features that older models had. If you take a fair bit of landscape and animal shots, this is not the best choice.

Bought this camera for a safari trip so I needed something with some zoom capability but also wanted something small enough that it would be easy to carry on other vacations. Don't know nor want to know how to set all the various features so the Auto feature was a must have. Did the trick nicely and am very happy with the purchase

Pictures are good. Camera has many controls....can put in manual mode and have wonderful control or leave it in auto and have a simple point and shoot. Because there are so many features, there is lots to learn and discover about this camera. My only complaint is that it has been very difficult to find instructions and information on how to use the various bells and whistles.
