Great overall camera

Has everything she wanted and more importantly has a rechargeable battery that comes out of the camera to charge in an external charger. We bought additional chargers and batteries so she is always ready to go. Easy to operate and a variety of settings.

Pretty impressed

It is solid & has good weight ( but not too heavy) to it. The pictures I've taken (outdoors - forest, mountains, water; old structures; etc) were very clear. My only complaint is the location of the buttons on the posterior bottom right of the camera. When I hold the camera in one hand, I tend to hit those buttons with my thenar eminence.

Great point and shoot camera for everyday use

Picture quality is excellent in outdoor settings and sufficient indoor light settings. However, picture quality is not very satisfactory in low light settings. I think my previous Canon camera, PowerShot SX 700 HS performs a bit better in low light environment

PowerShots are still the best point and shoot

I'm a PowerShot loyalist--I opted for this slightly more expensive model because I know it will last, it has the Canon settings dial back, and an action setting for catching shots of my nephew as he runs around. I'm so excited for her to love it as much as I love mine.
