Wonderful camera. We travel a lot and I wanted a camera with a great zoom without having to add/switch lenses. This one fits the bill perfectly. Picture quality is excellent - even in low light. For clear, beautiful pictures, this is the camera!

This camera takes beautiful, sharp, amazing pictures. The wifi sharing is simple and lets you transfer photos to you phone quickly and easily.

I was looking for a super zoom camera that didn.t cost as much as a used car and still took great pictures. This camera will do shutter and aperture photography so you can shoot a hummingbird or a landscape without changing camera's. This is a 20 mp camera with a 30 X optical zoom for under an msrp of $350.

This is a very good camera. The zoom is very good which was an important part of my decision. High quality photos.

The camera works well for shots that require a zoom. Bright sun on the viewing screen can be a problem composing your picture. A Monopod helps to keep it a workable product when using the maximum zoom on small subjects such as birds.

It’s easy to take sharp photos from a distance with this pocket-sized camera. I liked my previous Canon PowerShot camera that recently broke after years of use. I hesitated buying this slightly larger-sized one because being able to fit my previous camera in a small pocket was so convenient. I need larger pockets to fit this SX710 HS model, but I’m glad I opted for it because its powerful 30x zoom lens more than makes up for the inconvenience of carrying a slightly larger camera. The lens is so strong that I sometimes have trouble steadying the camera when I’m focusing on an object very far away. To help with long-distance shots, the camera has a button that allows you to temporarily zoom out if you lose track of a subject while zoomed in. Another feature that I enjoy is the Hybrid Auto Mode. It takes 2 – 4-second movie clips before each still image and combines them into a digest movie. I get full-quality still photos combined with little bursts of moving images and sound recorded right before each shot. There are many features that I haven’t experimented with yet, but if this PowerShot lasts as long as my last one, I’ll have plenty of time to explore them.

Able to use without reading instructions for immediate use. Fully charged Battery has long usage like 10-12 hours or more. I'm sure reading instructions will give further understanding to the explanations. One complaint is that I don't think it takes panoramic views. Great clarity and sharpness. Love the optical zoom.

We have not purchased a camera in about 11 years. Our old one broke and instead of using our phones as cameras, we prefer to actually take pictures and print them out. We had a Canon before and we are very pleased with this one.

I LOVE THE COMPACT SIZE OF THIS CAMERA AND CANON'S QUALITY TOO! I ADDED A HARD CASE AND I KEEP THIS BABY IN MY PURSE AT ALL TIMES SO I'M ALWAYS READY TO CAPTURE THE MOMENT. LIKE MOST CAMERAS IN THIS RANGE, IT DOES TAKE MUCH BETTER SHOTS IN OUTDOOR LIGHTING, BUT THE FLASH IS DECENT. JUST WISH IT HAD AN EYEPIECE!

We have not had a chance to check out all the functions, but this seems like a good camera so far. The first trip will tell the full tale. Red color is nice. Not too bright and not plain black either. great zoom, picture, and screen resolution. Lots of options, but works great in full auto.

The image stabilization at higher zoom ranges seems a little poor to me, especially compared my slightly older (and $150 cheaper) Olympus, which really froze image even at it's max zoom, which was about what this Canon has. I'll have to do some more testing, but some of the longer shots ended up blurry. I would have kept the Olympus, but the design was flawed and the camera several times turned on when in my pocket,pushed the lens forward and broke some small but necessary part in the lens-out, thus never working again. I was more careful after the first $125 repair, but never bothered to fix the second time. The Canon seems to have some lag between shutter button pressing and the taking of the picture, so capturing "the moment" is hard, unless the subject is standing and posing.

This camera has exceeded my expectations for a point and shoot ( long zoom) I am still learning the in's and outs and have a hard time navigating some of the options but it would help if I read the book probably. but straight out the the package it is the real deal !

I purchased this camera as a gift for my partner. He loves it! We were on a walk recently and he took pictures of a couple of birds to identify when we got home. The pictures were so crisp and clear it made identifying them easy. Highly recommend this camera.

The best zoom I've ever seen in a compact camera! Bought this for a concert since they don't allow dslr' in most of the time. My favorite part-it connects to your phone on the go so you can automatically transfer photos from the camera and post them immediately!

This camera has allowed me to take SOOO much better pictures than I could in the past. It has more megapixels and zooms further than any other cameras I found that were in my price range, as I can't afford to spend $500 on a camera. I'm SO happy with it!

I made a lot of review between this and other cameras, I decided to buy this one and I am really happy with it!!! The connectivity with the iPhone to pass the pictures and videos is great!! And you can take pictures using the iPhone as a control for the camera... The only thing is that I couldn't pass via wifi the pictures to my computer, so I need to buy a cable to do that, which is not included...

Bought this to take on my European vacation and in the middle of the day, photographing Catherine's Palace in Russia, the battery died! And it happened everyday, even though I charged the battery every day. After returning home I got in touch with the mfgr. and found out there is a way to reduce battery usage. I really am disappointed that this happened. My old camera would not have died. Taking it on this trip was the whole point. Wish I could return it. Poo! It's also NOT very intuitive to use.

I loved my earlier model was ...Only after a few accidental drops led me to a newer model. Wonderful upgrade and also familiar previous features.
