Whereas it takes perfect pictures, the menu is very complicated (to me). After three years, I still have found no way to change the pic size--I have no need for picturs the size of a billboard.

However I was underwhelmed by the sharpness of the pictures. I have gotten sharper pictures with other Canon cameras like the S100 and Powershot SX160is. Too bad.

Great camera for quick shots

It turns on pretty quickly which is important to get those quick shots. It does well in auto mode picking the correct scene. It takes really good night shots as well. Overall, one of, if not the best, small cameras we have ever owned.

Trying to Get Used To It

I wanted a camera that is convenient to carry but this was too big for my purse, so I bought a case that I could put on my belt. However, I have not used the camera much since I bought it. I think I've messed up the focus setting or it has a problem because the shots I've made don't seem to be in sharp focus. I took a photography course a few years ago but am having trouble remembering how to use some of the settings. The problem is probably me. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

First there was a black dot on every picture. Then a few months later every picture was blurry. I loved the Canon they had before this model was great and took beautiful pictures.
