As with the same camera in the past these are dependable.

Enjoying my new camera so far. Everything is performing as expected.

The only improvement I could suggest would be to is add sight to view TARBET

Right out of the box the camera was defective. Bought as wedding gift and when they were ready to take pictures in Greece, the view screen was scrambled. Upon returning to the states they calling Best Buy to confirm the camera could be exchanged at the store and were told yes. Upon getting to the store, they were told to mail to canon. This is not good customer service for a defective product from day 1.

I could take snapshots with out reading the directions.

This camera is worth For this price.its compact and easy carry.

I was disappointed when I took this camera out of the box. It was heavy and a bit too big for a simple tuck in your purse camera. The store didn't have the camera I wanted or the comparable in another brand on sale. This was a step up and I wish I didn't buy it.

No instructions were included in box and no wrist strap

For a quick, one step, inexpensive camera....it does OK. Pictures look great in the view finder but once I uploaded to the computer, very disappointed. Maybe just me!

You can only file photos on a daily or monthly basis. Good camera though.

It didn't come with a memory card. The camera doesn't accept the card. It was highly recommended by a friend.

my only problem with this is it drains the battery fast...

Directions could be better. Seems like a lot to learn for a point and shoot.

I needed a camera for our vacation that was not bulky but still took great pictures. I had an old Canon and wanted to stay with the brand (its a great brand!) So I purchased the SX710! I love all the different filters, scenes to choose from, It was very easy to use. I got some great pictures, even my 9year old daughter took some great shots. I didn't give it 5 stars because the low-light feature didn't really work all that great as I had hoped and the battery doesn't last that long either, maybe 2days at the most before the low battery sign came on.

I took the camera on vacation without testing it out first. A majority of my pictures were out of focus or part of the subject was cut off. It was very disappointing because the salesman recommended it.

I was looking for a good quality point and shoot with manual control and this camera fills the bill. Even used it for high ISO shots and results were good. Zoom is impressive though I have not used this feature much. Video quality is also good. The best feature is manual control as well as aperture and shutter priority. Many point and shoots do not have this feature. For the price this camera performs well. Only a more expensive camera with raw and a larger sensor will perform better though camera DSLR prices are coming down. This camera is easier to carry around than a DSLR.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad. He really likes it. Good quality picture and easy to use.
