Excellent Pocket Camera with Zoom

It is faster processing and storing photos which was main reason for upgrade. Zoom capability is smooth and in auto focus mode I can take continuous photos without delays for focusing or photo storage. This camera also has the bells and whistles for photographer interested in more hands on photography.

Great Travel Camera 5 Star

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like every other member of Canon's compact travel zoom lineup, Canon's SX720 HS is a brick-like affair with rounded edges. A smallish lens protrusion hides an absolutely Freudian 40x zoom lens with an aperture range of f/3.3-6.9. Behind that monster of a lens is a standard 20.3-megapixel 1/2.3" CMOS sensor.

Performance issues

However the photos taken in low light take forever to save (even when using a fast SD card), which will result in you loosing the opportunity to take multiple shots in quick succession. In bright light it shot a bit quicker, but some pictures were blurry. I returned this camera for these reasons.
