    IT's a Decent camera

First lets remember what this is, Point and Shoot. I've read a lot of reviews knocking the camera without really knowing how to use. I've been a canon User for about 15 years from Full frame all the way down to this. I bought this specifically for travel or when i am hanging out with the kids . Here are my pros and cons after using it in many places. Pros: super zoom its amazing . (works best with a Monopod or Tripod) Colors are beautiful if you have a good light source. ( I wouldnt say its great in low light but it does ok , it's a small sensor) Video quality is amazing hands down. Yes no 4K , but its 1080p at 60FPS Face detection is pretty good , better in video honestly Cons: avararage battery depletion at around 240 photos (at least for me ) You can not manually focus with focus points (my opinion not really a deal breaker) This one hurts me : no RAW only JPG, I suggest take your time if you really taking an important picture to avoid grain or color distortion. no Audio Jack (unless you can do it Via usb somehow , that i dont know about) Overall I am pleased with the camera. Can it be better, absolutely. Its takes better quality image than a Cell phone. if you are a true photographer you will notice the difference. This is for the consumer that like to VLOG, travel light to take quick snapshots. I will show pictures of a Yankee game where i zoomed in all the way sitting on Left field. images are straight out of camera with no editing whats so ever. I think the pictures can speak for themselves , i think they are very decent quality for memorable moments.

    OMG - BUY THIS CAMERA

I can't recall the number of cameras I reviewed and how I was really wanting a larger type removable lens... This has 40x and 160x digital zoom. Like me, you may recall some of the older cameras with digital zoom that simply pixelated the image. This is nothing even remotely like it. I tried it out at the store and was impressed with the clarity and detail of the zoom. After purchasing I found it even easier to use in the "Manual" mode. Say what? Yes, you can easily dial the shutter speed, F stop, ISO and it shows you on the screen what the photo will look like at that setting. No more taking a few shots, look, adjust settings, repeat until you get the settings just right the picture you want. Before you press the button to take - you know what it will look like. The moon shots are now so easy to take, but for the long digital zoom you will need a tripod or something to stabilize the camera, but well worth it. I uploaded a few images. 1. The close-up of the moon is around 140x digital and the other in the 60-70x range. Lots to learn, but I love this camera and highly recommend it. The only thing it needs is a remote trigger. Perhaps it has that and I haven't read up enough on it. Otherwise, I have been setting the photo to delay taking for two seconds to ensure no movement of the camera on the tripod.

I was debating getting this one or the SLR. I'm glad I did. It takes very clear pictures and it's not bulky. I love the wifi/Bluetooth capability of the camera to connect to my iPhone and the flip LCD screen for selfies! The only thing not too good is when taking pictures in a low light or dark places. Maybe I don't know the right setting to use for it..

Great at capturing wildlife on walks and quiet canoe trips. Also good at closeups of flowers. Midrange closeups difficult, and had trouble focussing when lots of trees in the background. Otherwise, near professional looking pictures in a tiny package. Only problem is it is VERY FRAGILE. Easily broken if dropped or a grandchild gets ahold of it! Also does NOT like water.

I needed a small format camera that was easy to use, lightweight, and dependable. This tough little Cannon is perfect for my needs. Shoots great quality stills and video, very efficient battery use, small and very easy to use. We love it!

I would give this five stars, but I can't help but compare it to the quality of my DSLR. I know it is a different category of camera, but I tried the video aspect of the Canon compared to the video aspect my Nikon D5300. The quality is really good, but not as sharp of an image. The portability is nice and the screen that flips up to see yourself when you're taking a photo or shooting a video is the winning feature to me.

    Fantastic Point & Shoot

I bought this camera for it's zoom capabilities...it does not disappoint! I want to take this on vacations and shoot wildlife. When at max zoom, you must have good light because the aperture closes down to F6.9, otherwise the images get really noisy because the ISO has to be increased. At the far end of the zoom range I found it's best to mount the camera on a monopod or tripod for tack sharp images. Check out the images I shot...they speak for themselves how good this camera is. Definitely pleased with my purchase!

This camera is small enough to fit in a purse, but is packed with great features. Love the 40x telephoto. The LCD screen flips up so that your live view can be from the back, above, or even used to take a selfie. The flash comes up right where you rest your finger, wish it was moved over to the center. The first picture I took is of frost on our storm door in below zero weather using the macro setting. You can get within 1 cm of your subject.

This camera takes sharp photos close-up and at fullest extent of the zoom. I like the tilting viewing screen for difficult angle shots. It has a wide selection of shooting modes, in-camera editing, GPS location, and video. It is a bit heavy for a small camera, but that is because it has a durable case. I wish it had a view finder for taking daylight photos. Otherwise, I am very happy with this little camera that allows me to leave my DSLR home on most occasions.

This camera is a breaze to use, basically just point and click. I really like the scene mode - camera takes one picture but turns it into 6 different 'scenes' with filters, close-ups, etc. Zoom is really good and steadies pretty quickly. We are not 'camera' people, however, we found this camera fit our needs perfectly - it produces really good pictures (some with a stylish scene when selected) and is small and light weight. I am certain as we learn more about the advanced features, we will be even more pleased.

The footage is great even amazing in low lighting. After purchasing multiple cameras I finally found my ideal camera, this one. I use it for youtube and vlogging. It's light weight, also great for pictures. The zoom is amazing and you can really zoom in and still manage to get a clear image. I highly recommend this camera

Great lens and focusing. I got this camera because my SLR was always getting in my way and needed to be lugged around. My iPhoneX allows excellent photos, convenience, and instant posting on-line. But I prefer to have extra control, better zooming, and timing options. This compact gives that and yet takes little more size or weight than my phone. The battery has yet to be used up in a day of shooting, even 2-300 shots later. I’m totally satisfied with my results.

I bought this camera to take on our European Vacation. The camera was very easy to use, but best of all it was amazing when taking pictures. The beat feature was the selfie screen. We were able to flip the screen and take pictures with our desired background. It was also quick to power on. One other great feature was the one touch recording button. This button was instant record without having to change the settings. The quality of pictures was amazing. The zoom on it was spectacular as well.

I initially wanted the G7X mark II but when I went to Best Buy to actually look at the cameras I saw the SX 730 for a much more affordable price. The ONLY issue I have with it so far is the auto focus isn’t always working properly or fast enough. Which I know the G7X is much better at. But the quality of the camera is comparible to the G7X and also has the flip up screen which is nice while taking videos or “selfie” style photos. If your looking at the G7X but don’t want to drop the amount of money on it, this is most likely your next best choice.

I purchased this just prior to a month long vacation. I am absolutely thrilled with it. The zoom is incredible, the fip up window is very useful and the wi-fi option puts the icing on the cake. This camera has some surprising heft to it given its' size but is very manageable. Battery life is very good as well. I did purchase an extra battery and changed it out each day but had plenty of battery life each day. Great camera.
