The LP-E17 is a tiny battery. If you're using the EVF and LCD a lot while shooting, you'll need at least one extra battery. If you're shooting a lot of video, it wouldn't hurt to have two extra batteries. On the plus side, since they're so small they don't take very long to charge to full capacity. I think you can go from empty to full in about 2.5 hours using the OEM Canon charger.

Can't go wrong with a Canon battery as a spare for my Canon T7i/800D. Works great, allows me to keep shooting for hours on end.

I needed an extra battery for shoots. This is a great backup battery to have for my Canon T7i.

It is always good to have a back up battery. We do a lot of video auditions and having a pre-charged battery is a must.

will probably buy another one as well for several days on the road in case I forget to charge the backup.
