I recently purchased my camera and very quickly realized that I needed a back-up battery and this was very handy the next day while I was out taking pics. Charges and holds it's charge for a while.

Charges canon battery likes it’s supoosed to, not much to it. Nice compact design where plug folds into the unit for storage and won’t be sticking out all the time. Minus one star for the high price

As I had a few long shoot days coming up, I figured an extra battery would be a great purchase to be prepared. This went on sale when I purchased it so it was EVEN BETTER (about $18 off). I do not trust an off-brand battery in my thousand dollar camera, just to save $40. Go and purchase this one, and enjoy your new battery!
