I’ve had poor performance with 3rd party batteries but only great performance with the original Canon batteries.

I had a bad experience where I had my battery die and so I was unable to get any more shots. Great buy.

When failure is not an option

There are so many technical aspects beyond just providing power that batteries need to account for now with modern-dy equipment. Yes, it costs more (and why this isn't a 5-star review), but this will be the best choice for the long-term. Will other batteries work (ie. Watson, Neewer, etc.)? Yes...and I've used them before. But they don't tend to last as long, and I get weird battery life readings. Stay with the brandname for your equipment for video and photography direct-connect needs like this.
