The Speedlite 430EX II External Flash is a vast improvement over the camera flash on my Canon T3i. After you add batteries, the flash works like a charm. This flash gives you another addition to your fun!

I installed on my camera and it worked like a charm. I see where I can use some of the advanced features, but the basic setup works about 80% of the time for me. I highly recommend this strobe.

the 430 is a solid flash with good recycle times. I have no complaints. I think the 600ex canon flash is great but not worth the extra price. the 430 delivers and gives a great bang for your buck

Great product for the price. I would recommend this Flash to anyone who wants to take great pictures of family and friends. Capturing memories is wonderful and this flash makes them better.

My camera has built in flash but needed an add on for bigger rooms or dimmed lighting. Can bounce flash off ceiling to avoid red eye in people and animals. Great flash and worth the money.

matched this up with a Canon 60d, needed something more powerful than the built in flash, was easy to use right out of the bix, love the swivel head both up /down and side to side. Will probably get a bracket for it. Must play with it a bit I found some of the non bounced pictures a bit washed out. Good value for the price

This is an awesome flash. Works great with my canon 60D! This is the first flash I've bought and I think it is a great one if you are trying to increase the quality of your pics!

I love the ease of operation for this product. It allows for both High Speed synch and second curtain synch giving many creative options.

I received this camera for Christmas and Love it. I haven't explored all features yet but so far it's great. You can pivot the head of the flash in almost any direction you like. When pointing it straight at your subject and you zoom with your lens, the flash zooms as well which is neat. The one thing I will mark against it is the initial warm up time is slow. When you turn on the flash and take a picture with the camera, the flash will not fire. you need to wait a couple seconds until the red light is on indicating the flash is ready. This is fine, really, but if I am in a hurry to grab a shot, i'd have to wait. Great flash overall.

As I attend many evening functions that require the light of a flash, this is a great addition to my EOS camera to extend the battery life of the camera during the events.

I haven't really used the flash yet. I have just played with it at home. It seems to do a great job. The defuser it great, and the different angles for bouncing flash is great.

I use a Canon Rebel T3 camera; Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens, with a 12mm extension tube for macro photography, especially tiny jumping spiders (7-9mm long). This speedlite works great. Able to adjust flash power to reduce glare in spider's eyes. A great flash for a very reasonable price. Also provides great indoor lighting. I've had zero problems with my flash.

Great flash for a beginner working with flash. Has all of the features I need without it being too overwhelming as a first time flash purchase. A quality Canon product.

Bought the flash about a month ago. Great flash. Much better than the internal flash that comes with the canon T3i. Used it at a wedding. Pictures of people and landscapes came out very well. Very bright at night, which sometimes led to overexposure but you just have to angle it right. Allowed me to take pictures from far distances. Can also use it in sun-lit settings where the front of the person is under exposed without a flash. Low noise and fast and timely. Was eyeing if for awhile, not sure about the investment, but finally got it. Wish I bought it a long time ago. Would have been great on other trips.

This flash is great. It's pretty easy to use and truly brightens up pictures quite beautifully.

I bought this model when my 580 speed light failed, and it handled perfectly. I photograph weddings and used it this Saturday - no complaints whatsoever. Great flash!

This is a great flash for advanced users. This was the first flash I purchased, but I've played around with quite a few of them, mostly generic brands. It's a great addition for your dslr if you're getting serious with your craft.
