I needed additional light for my camera when taking pics and this flash was a great purchase.

Works great with my Cannon T4I. Used it for my sons graduation, inside and it worked great, much better picture quality with this flash vs the flash on the camera.

I'm not a professional photographer but purchased a DSRL without a flash so I needed a lite for those situations where a flash was necessary or where I needed some additional fill light. This unit works well and has all the basic and some advanced features that are great to have. Manual mode as well as TTL when in the proper mode in the camera. I also wanted a flash that in the future could be controlled by another flash unit remotely. This unit meets that need.

I'm a novice when it comes to photography, and for a novice this flash is perfect. It does what I want it to do without having to read volumes of techy jargon.

Great mid level flash for a beginner to pro. The sales person was very knowledgable and was not mistaken when he told me this was the best flash for me.

Makes pictures look much better. Definitely snag this as part of your dslr package.

Overall good flash but needs longer time to get ready between simultaneous shots

This external Flash is excellent for the cost. I've only used it a couple of times in the home and the photos came out great. Money well spent.

A camera without a external flash especially the canon speedlite is not living up to its potential .. Get one and you won't be dissappointed

Gave it to my wife as a gift. She loves it and has since she first opened the box. She's not the tech savvy type so there is your measuring stick.

I havent had to much time to use yet but what i have it makes the pictures look great really lights them up when you get shadows and dark lines

This was a great upgrade from the basic 270ex I had been using. This flash has a lot more features and therefore has a significant learning curve but so far I am very happy with it. I'm a semi-professional automotive photographer and primarily use this for fill, even in bright sunshine, and it does a fantastic job.

I love this little light. It's my first speedlight and it immediately made an impact on my pictures. Easy to use and lightweight. Perfect!

The Canon Speedlite 430 EX II External Flash has most of the features and power of its more expensive brother - certainly, everything I need.

Necessary accessory for any serious photographer, you can do so much more with a dedicated flash as opposed to the on camera flash.
