Bought for Christmas. Good product. Doesn't come with anything but charger though.

I find the camera bulky due to the large battery pack and design. The record button makes it very difficult to use with one hand like the Sony I had previously. Could be me but I suggest that you 'play around' with the demo model at the store before purchasing it.

Got it at a great price; but very small in size !!

We were looking for a blogging camera and this didn't fit the bill. Awkward to hold... horrible low light camera. decent if you want to film a kids basketball game but overall I was not impressed.

Can't see anything into the viewer except reflection of your face trying to see what you are trying to record. Took it on vacation and was a disaster to try to use.

For a $300 camera I expected a little more but video quality wasn't as good as expected and it was kind of hard to keep it in balance with motion stabilizer.

not impressed from my first use. The focus keeps changing and blurring out, hope it improves. Audio was okay.

When I bought it is was told the quality would be better but it is not too good.

Nice picture, but no software to properly view it.

I recently purchased the Canon Vixia HF R700 at my local Best Buy store. After weeks of research, reading reviews and a few visits to the store, I felt ready to make the purchase. I would not call myself a high-end user. In fact, this is my first video camera capable of capturing full HD. I selected this camera primarily because it offers so many options in such a compact package. From the multiple formats to the varied shooting modes, this little camera is packed with great features that are both simple to use as well as fun. The one drawback is the quality of the stills. But that doesn't matter to me as I did not buy it to do still photography. I have an old Canon XTI for that. Another drawback (for some) would be the fact that the camera offers no internal memory. For $50 more, you could get one with 16 GB internal memory, but honestly, SDXC cards are so inexpensive these days, you'd be better buying two 64s for $50 online than upgrading. In summation, I STRONGLY recommend this camera. Simple and Simply Beautiful... Good job, Canon!

Gave it the lowest rating because I wont know until after Xmas because it is a present for someone else. For the same reason, I cant recommend it to a friend

Picture quality was horrible. Blurry, out of focus. Bought it to record an event. Haven't used it since. My cell took better video than this cam.

Pretty happy with this unit. 3 hour battery life out of the box without spare batteries gets me easily through my kids games, and lack of internal meory is no biggee with the price point of microSD cards. Image quality is decent and zoom is good. Again, for the money, for filming my kids games, this is a good choice.

This is a very nice and easy to use camera. It's small size makes it easy to capture those special moments without being bogged down with heavy equipment (like my previous video recorder). Great picture quality.

This camcorder works great, we love it! We used it for our vacations, babies first, and everything in between. It also came with connections so we can watch our recordings on our tv. Battery life is great and so is the resolution.

This camcorder is a great budget video camera, I have had mine for a couple of months and it is really good a taking video. The audio sounds really good as well. There is one problem, that is the low light video quality. In low light this camera has a grainy picture and the video doesn't come out good but for the price, it is a great deal.

We have only been using this a couple of months, but so far we've had only good experiences with this reasonably price little camcorder. It's done everything it's supposed to without complaint. We're happy we bought it and would do so again.

I wanted something I could connect with an external mic and it does it quite easily. The quality of the picture is outstanding
