I never could figure out how connect it to wifi we paid an extra 100.00 for that and it wouldn't work. And there were so many features with no directions it was hard to figure out how everything works. I ended up returning this and bought a go pro instead.

Has no lighting, ineffective for indoors. Breaks video stream into small chunks, not continuous record/save. Spend a few more $$and get a real camcorder

Worked great, but didn’t quite have all the needs I wanted. Bought it for my daughters wedding and completed the job, but I r rally wanted and expected it to be a little better

Bought this camera hoping to control start /stop recording functions from the Canon Connect app. No go on this model. Other than that it functions as intended.

Way better cqmeras out there for the price qnd all that they do.. but if you want something super simple this is it

I had purchased this product to do Livestreaming for a local church. When I took it out and powered it up. I had it on for 3 minutes. I tried to get the video to be clear and I am practically blind but the video was very pixelated and I confirmed that with 4 others that have great eye sight. I was comparing the video quality of this Canon Vixia HF R30 compared to a Video Camera 4K Camcorder ORDRO Real 4K Ultra HD. If I had the video camera on a monitor next to each other I would have been wrong on which camera quality belonged to which camera. Now before you go out and buy that camera, don't do that as I went through 2 of them. One powers off and then decides to go to a black screen during a recording. The replacement, had great video but the audio was awhful. As for this cameras pixalation; tried it in a very well lit room and it showed up like I was filming the room in a very dim lit room. Checked the settings and not able to resolve.

Didn’t record more that 30 minutes . And I need to record 50 to 60 minutes.

Good camera for the price. Beginner camera. Hard to get to Bluetooth to phone or computer.

I needed the date and time stamp on the playback mode, this camera doesn’t display it,

I like the camera but it does not have good sound quality and I must buy an extra mic

Hasn’t worked right from the start. Best Buy knows this and sells it this way. When you complain that it doesn’t work they basically say you can take it or leave it? I’ve been a long time customer at Best Buy , it doesn’t mean diddly ! Will go to a camera shop next time I need one !

The Camera does not film wide and the quality in low light settings is terrible. Invest in a camcorder not made by canon. The only thing that is semi-useful is uploading videos directly using the internet, but I doubt someone would do that without editing.

This camera was falsely advertised as being able to remotely record from your iPhone using the canon app. This was not to be true and i never got the app or the remote video recording to work. huge disappointment and returned this video camera

I could not tell you how well this camera worked. First time tried to use itcould not see the screen outside because of the sun. had a really bad reflection. Bought for a vacation and couldnt use it . Returned it as soon as we got back,

Great little camcorder. I don't have any complaints other than it does not have night vision on it.

I've had this camera almost a year and have used it about 5 times and I love it. Was bought for my daughters dance recital and it exceeded my expectations. Sound, picture, functions are all great especially for the price. Would buy again.

Bought this camera and was unable to use it for six weeks. When I did use it for the first time I could not see the view screen during a sunny day no matter what I tried. Best Buy would do nothing for me since I had it for over 4 weeks. Please do not buy this camera if you plan on using outdoors, you will be disappointed. Also, I see that the RF800 got the same review.

I read the poor reviews this camera got. I thought it could not be that bad. I brought this camera for my trip to South Africa. When went to use the camera I was disappointed because sun glare. You can't see what your filming. Canon needs to do something about that. I read the other reviews and didn't believe them. Don't waist your money on this product.
