Good for beginners

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not like how it spliced the one, long, continuous video file (about 2 hours worth of footage of an event) that I recorded into smaller files, each about 5 minutes long (as I recall). It made the post-production editing process a bit cumbersome because I had to essentially put the video back together.

One of the best all around camcorders

UNLESS you set on full automatic, then it runs itself and seeks the best settings. External microphone in port allows a wireless mic setup...this is the least expensive camcorder that has that feature. Does everything except 4k, for price, it is awesome.
