I bought this for my canon t3i dslr camera, I've been getting more and more interested in photography. I wish I had bitten the bullet sooner and purchased this. Set up was a breeze, just turned it on, switched my camera to the remote function & BAM. It worked! This will help when I am trying to get that picture with dim lighting with my tripod, by not having to touch my camera to create blur. Instead a click of a button will work. I wish I had this when I went to the grand canyon, you should have saw my friends & I trying to balance my camera on unsteady rocks, while running back close to a cliff to get a photo... in hindsight, not a good idea!

I got in-store bestbuy to match their prices advertised on bestbuy.com which was a whopping 50% difference in price! Take advantage of bestbuy's lowest price guarantee. Canon's wireless trigger worked flawlessly with my Canon 5D series camera. All I had to do was set the drive mode to wireless trigger and it worked. No more assembly and setup required on he 5D3. Comes with a nice case for protection and storage. If I just had to pick a con it would be the battery compartment was a little difficult to unlatch. Not a real big deal but I thought I should mention it.

So there are other remotes compatible, but many reviews I’ve read someone purchased a more inexpensive off-brand, then it didn’t work properly & ended up purchasing the Canon brand anyway. So save yourself some time, some money & enjoy less camera shake with this beautiful little guy. I absolutely love mine & haven’t had any problems with my remote!

Really light product that does what it says....allows you to remotely take pictures. I got it bc I wanted the ability to start recording something while not behind the camera, and this lets me do that (although the switch must be on the 2 sec delay). Only downside is bc it's uses IR, it must be pointed at the camera for it to work. So if I'm taking a video that I'm in, there's some time at the beginning where's it obvious I'm starting the recording. Would have preferred a radio or something, but I knew that going into it.

This product was recommended by a friend who also found no problems. You can use the delayed shutter in the camera but this is much more convenient. You do have to set the camera to accept the signal from the remote

I was tired of having to focus the camera, set the timer and then dash into the frame along with whoever else was in the photo. And then after checking the image having to repeat the process until I was satisfied. This remote changed that forever, now I can focus and then join the group and shoot as many pictures as I want without having to go back to the camera reset the timer and leave everyone impatient to get it over with! Thank you Canon you solved my dilemma!

The remote is very helpful when shooting from a distance. It could have a greater distance but it's limited because it is IR

Shutter control that works with canon cameras. I have used it in a canon 7d and a 5d mark 3 and it works great.
