    Captain America: Civil War Bluray

Captain America: Civil War is one the best superhero movies of all time. The premise of the movie is that the Avengers are split when the U.N. passes Sokovia Accords, a treaty forces the Avengers to answer to a U.N. panel. Captain America and his followers are against it while Iron Man and the others support it. This movie has some of the best fight scenes ever filmed, especially the airport clash that has 12 superheroes fighting. The only drawbacks are some shaky camerawork in the beginning of the movie and that the ending is requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. The picture and sound quality of the bluray are amazing and it has some pretty cool special features. There are deleted scenes, a blooper reel, and some documentaries.

    Captain's Gonna Teach!

Captain America looks at the brave new world placed in front of him and asks the question: "Why are a group of politicians better able to decide what causes should be fought for, and who's rights need to be protected?" Tony Stark tries to compensate for his own guilt by forcing everyone to choose a path that he thinks will help him to sleep better at night, but finds that in the end, the fallibility of the people he decides should take control leads to injustice and oppression. If a film ever tried to make the point that there are no easy answers in life, this one succeeds in that goal. In the end, we are all bound to do what our own conscience tells us is right, and be prepared to live with the consequences.

I was able to get this during the buy 2 get 1 free sale while at the same time they were at a reduced price. The price for the 4k upgrade was too good to pass up. Whether or not it is worth the upgrade depends on your TV setup. The artwork on the steelbook is good and the issue of noting including the title on the side has been fixed. Now if they could just find a way to keep cardboard sleeve over the case to stay down. The movie itself might not have been what fans of the comic were expecting, but it worked well for the MCU. A great introduction for two very important characters for the next phases.

    The best Marvel film yet

Probably one of the best Marvel movies yet. I was a big fan of Avengers, probably have seen it over 100 times, but this is better. Spiderman wasn't in it for long, but it was still pretty awesome that he made an appearance. The 3D was good too. I have been leery of 3D Marvel movies ever since Avengers: Age of Ultron because it was lacking the 3D depth that the 1st Avengers had, and they admitted that they didn't want to be a slave to 3D in that one so it makes sense. Civil War, however, had the depth that you would expect for a 3D movie. I just hope Robert Downy Jr. doesn't get too old and die before they make the rest of the movies. You can't replace him as an actor for his role. The new Spiderman is my favorite yet.

Big fan of the Marvel films, and Civil War may be among the best: Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and original Iron Man would be the others I'd place in that top tier. Civil War benefits by having the conflict from within, where both the majority of the "good guys" and "bad guys" are familiar characters not needing to be introduced to us during the course of the film. We've spent time with almost everyone involved here already, and the new introductions don't necessitate long origin stories within the film itself. Black Panther and Spider-Man make huge splashes here, fitting in alongside some of our favorites without hesitation. Great film, and one of the best in the Marvel library!

I did see this film at the cinema and about 30 minutes into the story I was starting to wonder if maybe I had grown tired of the entire Superhero genre, and then the story took off and I was in for the ride, all the way. One aspect of the Marvel films, as opposed to those from the DC franchise, is the use of humor. Marvel seems to have found the right formula for levening their films with humor and thus making for an enjoyable experience. Safe to say if you enjoyed this film at the cinema then this Blu-ray will not disappoint. HD video quality is excellent as is the audio. For me, the best of the Marvel films has been Captain America Winter Soldier, however I am happy to add this film to our collection.

It’s not a huge upgrade over the blu ray, the fighters look extra crispy. The fighters scenes for me were enough for me to upgrade.

Another great entry in the Captain America series. As with comparisons to Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, the 2nd entry in both these series have proven to be the best of their respective trios. Winter Soldier could easily be an excellent spy/political thriller if you take out the superhero aspect of the universe its set in. Civil War can't really work without that aspect, so, less of a great film. Plus, the streak continues of Marvel not giving us a great villain to be invested in. At least not since Loki and Robert Redford's character in CA:TWS. But CA:CW does better on the supehero front with great action pieces and conflicts that do great justice to the source material. Plus, Spidey. Yup. Spider Man. 'Nuff Said!

I've never been a big "steelbook" fan. I'm not looking at the box when I'm watching it on screen so what's the big deal, right??? Well, if you throw away the boxes and put your dvds in a binder you're right. If not, and the case will be somewhere visible(shelf, entertainment center, rack) it's asthetically pleasing and not subject to the normal wear and tear. (No matter how much of a neat freak or steward you may be, take a look at any 10 year old case in your home and tell me how the packing has aged.) Great movie, great deal for the combo pack, with a 3-D blu ray to boot!!!(Very easy to snag a 4k tv that supports 3d in the price range of a 4ktv that doesn't if you opt for hdr tech). Enjoy 3d while it lasts.

This really hit it out of the park. The latest entry into the Marvel Universe was a lot of fun and a fantastic film. There was a lot going on, but everything came together in a surprisingly toned down villian and a message about how revenge can destroy. The airport scene is classic comic book and this movie proves that the Captain America storyline is the best thing going. The intros for Spider-Man and the Black Panther were terrific and made me excited to see more of both. One of the best movies this year and maybe the most fun. Funny though is that the people who hated Batman v Superman seemed to live this and the plots are erriely similar. I liked them both this one is just lighter in tone at times.

Captain America: Civil War is bold, innovative and altogether refreshing. Impressively switching between character-driven dialogue development, all-to-the-wall action scenes and a depth to a war and conflict that others could only dream of (looking at you, Batman vs Superman), Civil War is impressive because of what is at stake and what we know lies ahead. It wins by building to this point thirteen episodes into its Universe run and offering more for the audience to invest themselves in - there are no winners, losers, good people or bad people as such, just individuals with different approaches, opinions and emotions. Civil War wins by accepting each of these and explororing the different approaches.

This was a great way to start Phase 3 of the MCU. The film takes on one of Marvel's best known storylines and improves upon it. The Russo Bros once again show they have a magic touch when dealing with these characters and films. While the focus of the movie is clearly on Captain America and Iron Man, the rest of the heroes are given their time to shine, whether it be supporting/opposing pending government regulation on them or taking part in the fight scenes throughout the film. While the film doesn't have a traditional superhero villain, Zemo is a well-done antagonist that helps drives the film towards the climatic ending fight between CA and IM.

This movie is a battle of Good Avengers vs Good Avengers in who wants to be controled. No matter how good you are or in this case The Avengers you can never do right with others. The Avengers try to do good but it's not good enough to others and in this case the countries. The (countries) gather and adopt a resolution whereas they want to control The Avengers and there lies the difference between some of the Avengers. Some don't want to be told when, where and how to do there job. I say if this world is being invaded from outer space then let The Avengers do there job and as far as each country having problems in there own country let there own military or police handle it themselves.

This is right up there with Avengers 1 as my second overall favorite of the Marvel Universe. A lot people call this Avengers Pt: 2 A, and rightfully so. The Russo Bros have done an excellent job in cohesion of characters whereas they are not over flooding when a character takes place within the story. Granted this is a Captain America movie and not an Avengers movie per se but it's pretty darn close. I love the sheer simpleness this story tells and how it will now effect our heroes going forward. Will they be friends again, flight along side other, or do we keep seeing a demise of the team? Time will tell within the universe of Marvel, but what a ride Civil War gave us.
