This Captain America movie is more like the Avengers 2.1. It has about all of the characters from the Avengers plus the Black Panther makes his first appearance and Ant-Man becomes Goliath for the first time. I bought the 4k disc because I recently upgraded to a newer 4k TV and a 4k Blu-ray player. The picture quality is out of this world! You can definitely tell the difference. I highly recommend adding this movie to your collection.

Batman v Superman sucked. D.C can't make a decent superhero film without Chris Nolan. X-Men Apocalypse sucked. Any of the X-Men cartoons are better. Didn't bother seeing Suicide Squad. Heard it sucked. Again, D.C. Independence Day: Resurgence sucked. Didn't bother seeing Jason Bourne or Ghostbusters. Once upon a time, I used to go to the movies in the summer every week. Now there are fewer studios making fewer films. There are only 3 movies I liked this summer 2016 season. Deadpool, Purge Anarchy, and Captain America: Civil War, with Captain America far better.

Although many reviews stated it was an Avengers 2.5 movie, Captain America is obviously the star out in front. The disagreement of the Sokovia Accords, the friendship between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, and the reveal of the Winter Soldier and Tony Stark's father really heightened the emotional impact of the conflict. Great action sequences, especially the battle at the end between Cap and Iron Man. Spider Man had a great debut. And the movie also does a lot of setting up for Black Panther, who also made an excellent debut as well. By far the best Marvel movie to date.

I definitely see the improvement on color/deeper blacks but the Atmos soundtrack disappoints

The movie itself is lots of fun. Lots of action with great special effects, which makes it a great movie to watch in 3D. Marvel has really done a nice job of taking the time to build out the characters, so by the time the conflict starts within the Avengers the decisions made by each character hold more emotional weight. Like its predecessor, Winter Soldier, the tone of this movie is different, which really works here. It may sound strange to say given the subject matter, but the movie is less fantastical than your average Marvel fare which in this case is a good thing.

The 4K transfer looks great and it really brings out some details on a fantastic MCU movie

This film is the culmination of 8 years of strong Marvel movies and it does not disappoint. Every superhero (except Hulk and Thor) is present for this incredible follow-up to "The Winter Soldier". Even Spider-Man makes his MCU debut in one of the most fun and exciting fight scenes ever put to celluloid! The 3D is INCREDIBLE and well worth watching (if you have a capable TV and player). The extras on the standard blu-Ray disk are your usual gag-reel and "sneak peaks" for upcoming movies (like Dr.Strange). If you like action, humor and superheroes, this is the I'll for you.

One of the best movies of 2016. Marvel has totally gone above and beyond my expectations YET again... and I cannot wait for the next phases to come. Spidey------ PERFECT. Tom Holland brings the teenage Peter Parker back to life in a perfect way. Awkward, lanky, nerdy, you name it, he fits it. Other renditions have had him be cocky, but in Civil War he was nervous... chatting during the big scenes and such. Black Panther----- A classy superhero... much like Thor in my opinion. Fluid fighting... GREAT costume... great interaction. YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE.

The captain America series of movies is the best trilogy in the marvel cinematic universe.

This many characters all in the same movie shouldn't work, but somehow Marvel pulled it off and made a delightful romp of great action sequences, and some surprisingly deep questions that super heros rarely address. What's cool about the setup is that I can see both viewpoints as valid, thus making an almost painful clash where I don't know who to root for, but sure do enjoy the ride up to the end. A definite win for storytelling...though perhaps this movie should have been called Avengers 2...it was certainly better than Avengers 2. That's just my humble opinion.

Like any comic book geek, I couldn't wait to add this one to my collection. I was hoping that the culmination of so many characters wouldn't ruin the film, luckily it didn't. The writers and directors for Marvel films know exactly what is needed for a great film. (It's too bad DC hasn't learned this formula) I am interested to see where things go and if they kill off any majors characters. I know it won't be popular to some fans, but it is a necessary element for the comic book world and to introduce new blood. Otherwise the same old, same old will get stale quick.

If you've liked the other Avenger films then you should definitely like this one. If not, then this might not change your mind as it is very similar to previous films. There is different character progression and obviously new characters added but ultimately the appeal is seeing a lot of these fan favorites meet up on screen together and to set the stage for future Avengers films. If you are a superhero or action movie fan then definitely worth the purchase. Special effects are great, extras are pretty good, and the 3D effects are what you would expect from the genre.

This movie is a great film that covers a lot of ground in two hours. There is a great deal of talking about the issues that Avengers are subjected to in this movie. Ethical decisions that divide that Avengers and tear them apart. Not withstanding, the action is just as great as the moments of discussion about the issues they choose to fight for in "Civil War." First rate special effects, great plot and familiar characters talk and fight through this movie giving it great traction to really get into it. I think this is probably one of the best Avengers movies made.

The artist who provided these covers is great. They are my favorite series of steelbooks.

Civil War focuses on the lead character, Captain America, by giving him the meatiest part in a movie with a massive cast. The directors deftly weave a tale of broken friendships, lies, and philosophical differences that eventually leads to open conflict. The introduction of two major new characters is handled effectively, particularly the Black Panther. I am intrigued by his character, both in his suit and behind the mask. Every hero has a chance to shine at some point. This movie is a prime example of the proper way to make a blockbuster film. Highly recommended.

This Captain America movie isn't as good as the first one but it's still worth a view.

What happens when powerful superhero friends find themselves on opposite sides of a political disagreement? Find out in this movie that pits friend against friend as Captain America leads a faction of the Avengers against pro-registration Avengers led by Tony Stark (Iron Man). Will civil liberties triumph against government regulation? We shall see. Great Fun with a great ensemble of actors including: Chris Evans, Robert Downey jr, Scarlet Johannson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul bettany.

Good movie, not the best of the Captain movies. Love the introduction of Black Panther.

Civil is the twelfth movie in the Marvel cinematic franchise. (I could be wrong and yes I did count Guardians of the Galaxy.) You would think that people would be getting sick of them but each movie just gets better. (The only thing annoying about them is keeping the order straight.) Civil War pits the Avengers against each other over a matter of Civil rights. Should the Avengers have to answer to the UN? Should that Control include giving up their own personal freedom? Civil War is an entertaining and timely movie. Watch it in 3D, the effects are amazing.

Alright, if you're looking at this review, you've at least glanced at the couple little movies before this.... right? Kidding.... no really, I'm kidding. Seriously? Okay, here's the deal. Watch the other movies in the Marvel cinematic universe. Please! This is the best ongoing saga of the 21st Century. They have struck gold here. This is a great movie. I really can't add to that. Buy it and add it to your collection. It is a must have for any fan of action, comedy or just all around fun. Go get it and a bucket of popcorn. Oh! And uhh..... YOU'RE WELCOME
