As the countdown to "Avengers: Endgame" runs down, it's worth a look back at "Captain America: Civil War", which set the stage for the last two Avengers movies. The Avengers, the world's greatest heroes, have vanquished every foe, until now. A series of unfortunate events leads to a house divided, and a house divided cannot stand. The Avengers will pick sides, and the consequences will be catastrophic for the team. Above all, Captain America will find out who his friends really are... "Civil War" is a well-crafted action movie. Chris Evans is outstanding as Steve Rodgers/Captain America, even if our hero has to compete with Robert Downey Jr/Tony Starks/Ironman for screen time in his own movie. There's lots of storyline to unravel, excellent CGI effects, and plenty of character development for a huge supporting cast. Well recommended to fans of the MCU.

I love all the Marvel movies and was missing this one. Watched it several times.

So a lot of the reviews are about the movie, which personally I think was not much of a Captain America movie and more of an “Avengers” movie. But that’s good as it gives me liberty to speak about the 3D version and the snazzy Steekbook. First the Steelbook: Wow, what can I say. Beautiful art on the outside, fantastic art on the inside. I almost wish the discs weren’t in there just so you can see the sweeping cast portrait inside. The case is of course very durable and sturdy. It holds the discs in very solidly and I don’t see that it has the problem other cases have of loose discs. Overall, I’m very pleased with this add on. I wish all physical copies put this much effort into the case as works of art. Second the 3D version: Again, this is about the 3D version of the film. So my opinion is, 3D is just fun and this edition of the film is no exception. It really gives it some depth and helps bring the film to life. The quality is mostly crisp and clear, and as it seems to be with al Disney 3D versions, and is handled superbly. The effect is very clean both for foreground scenes and background as well. They have certainly mastered the art. We watch out movies on a 4k 60” LG TV with 3D and a Playstation 4. It uses passive 3D for viewing and seems to usually produce less crosstalk. However, I did notice more on Civil War than say in Zootopia. Not too much to where the image is bad or obnoxious, but enough that it was mildly distracting in just a few scenes. Still between the 3D edition and the standard that comes with it, I’d watch it in 3D every time, hands down. Now if I can just get them to release it in 4K…

HDR and 4k resolution are perfect for this third movie in the Captain America series
