This role was suited best for Evans... He showed soo much of this character and seeing his growth as captain america from the First Avenger throught to ENDGAME, he has been incredible... This 4K brings the first chapter of this character in such Great, Clear and crisp picture that it just doesn't get any better then that.. The steelbook case too... i Love it!

It's 1941 the world is at war. small Steve Rogers wants to do his part and join the fight. Steve then is offered a chance to part of an experimental program which transforms him into Captain America the world's first super solider. The Captain America series is one of my favorite in the Avengers series. Chris Evans is perfect for this role.

Combining nostalgic Cap with an updating was no easy task but this film largely succeeded. Even finding a way to include the old uniform in USO performances was a nice touch. The story is bitter-sweet and the portrayal of Cap is solid and surprisingly satisfying. You'll root for the hero and enjoy a well presented adversary while being given some deeper considerations about duty, meaning in context, and a Casablanca moment to remember.

Read comics as a kid, but not Captain America; seemed too cheesy. But after enjoying the character in the Avenger's movies, I wanted to see the first movie. A thoughtful origin story, well-written, beautifully filmed, and great acting. Not as action-packed as some superhero movies, more of a hero drama with some humor, but it moves along at a nice pace. Enjoyable movie. Better than expected.

Any time is a good time for a marvel movie and nobody does it better than Marvel Studios. Bought this as part of a Christmas gif for my brother, but I've watched this nearly a dozen times. While it's not the best of the Captain America films, it certainly does the job to an amazing degree. No complaints here.

This first Captain America movie is such a solid start to his story. It doesn't break any new ground in terms of plotting or characterization, but it's got heart and arguably the best lead character in the MCU. The 4k transfer is good, if (again) not groundbreaking, like much of Disney's output. Another common element of Disney's 4k discs is its quiet sound- once you bump up the volume a bit, though, it's effective. Most importantly, even though this steelbook simply uses the film's poster for its cover, it's much more welcome than the uninspired cover on the standard 4k release of the film.

Introducing everyone to Captain America, who starred in 2 of the top Marvel movies with Avengers and Captain America Winter Solider. Taking place during World War 2 with the Captain fighting Red Skull and the Germany. Introducing not only Captain America but also Peggy Carter (Agent Carter) and Howard Stark (Tony Stark aka Iron Man's father).

I’ve always really liked the visual style of this movie. Other aspects of the film still had some rough parts but were eventually ironed out in the subsequent sequels. Chris Evans does an excellent job of portraying Steve Rogers.

A beautiful 4k transfer of one of the early Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. A terrific intro to Captain America and the future Winter Soldier along with Agent Carter. The second Cap movie is my favorite but after watching this 4k version of Cap's first movie, I may have to rethink my ranking.

I'm upgrading my MCU Movie collection, so this is a must have. It was on sale for a significant discount so I had to get it. This is one of my favorite Marvel movies, since I'm a fan of Chris Evans. To add to that, the movie comprises a group of good actors. It is quite well done and entertaining. #keeper

Great choice for Cap. Wasn't sure after Fantastic Four, but he's perfect. The old school sceens are great. Wonderful job recreating OLD NYC. The extras are great. Marvel is on a serious run and even though, I still have a few movies to purchase, waiting for the next iteration. Because folks, it ain't over yet.

Introducing Marvel's man out of time hero, Captain America could be a tough sell for modern audiences, given the less than patriotic viewpoints many Americans seem to have these days. However, surprisingly Captain America: The First Avenger struck a solid chord with moviegoers, and the movie gave us a faithful adaptation for the iconic hero, and brought the leader of the Avengers to wonderful cinematic life!

Maybe just not my type of movie. It was kind of slow and all 3 of my kids fell asleep. I think if you are into movies in this era of time, you would probably enjoy more. I have enjoyed the Iron Man series much more.
