What I liked about this film is that it speaks to people. It presents the idea that there are those who would willingly sacrifice the one thing that people would fight for if someone tried to take it. Freedom. When people use the term 'boy scout' in regards to superheroes, Superman is the first name that springs to mind. Captain America isn't a boy scout in the strictest sense, but he has a real sense of morals. He comes from an era where the bad guys were easy to spot. Now he's in the 21st Century and he's experienced so much in a short time. He led The Avengers into battle against an alien invasion. Joining SHIELD afterwards wasn't smooth sailing, since it's an organization that, while they protect people, are not the most trustworthy. Then Rogers finds out that, not only has an old enemy been growing within SHIELD all along, but someone else from his past is alive and wreaking havoc. There's a real-world feel to this movie. Of course some people will see it and just see well done action, but if you look hard enough, the story is speaking to us.

Nice steel but I'm not sure it's worth the update if you have the blu ray.

Marvel Studios has done it again. They've found more great characters to bring alive on the big screen while walking the fine line of not overloading us with too many characters that they have at their disposal to make it impossible to "keep track of the players without a program". Plus, they are still paying enough attention to the story to keep the quality in that area high, which is why they probably don't have any problems attracting top notch actors and actresses to play the roles. Keep up the good work.

This is not just a great superhero movie, but a great movie in general. The plot is gripping and more grounded than some of the other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and features a well-realized villain, beautifully-shot action sequences, and great perfomances by everyone involved. I only wish that all of the other movies in the MCU could be as expertly-crafted. This release of the film is fantastic, with great visual and audio quality, and some really interesting special features. Highly recommend picking this one up!

There are to many gloving movie reviews which go into detail on how wonderful of a movie this is, so I will keep it short. Marvel keeps turning out these amazing movies and its an awesome time in history to be a Marvel Fan. The only complaint I had was that we needed more gender and race diversity, but Marvel of course listened and will now be releasing in the coming years Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Please keep em coming and I will be in the theaters and buying these movies once released for the home.

In my home theater streaming won't do and this blu-ray delivered. The picture and sound was perfect. Great 3D presentation and crystal clear 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. The best part was the movie is great as well. I was bored to death by the latest Thor, but this movie delivered. Recommended! Side note: I buy a lot of Disney blu-rays for my kids and usually get the DVD in the Combo Pack. Note that this does not include a DVD. Not a big deal, but just in case you were planning on watching it in the car or on a secondary TV somewhere...

If you grew up being a fan of comic books then you already love everything produced thus far in the MCU. Well, everything minus Iron Man 3! But this sequel definitely lived up to the hype and I enjoyed it waaaay more than the original which was more building the story than anything. This one starts to really tie things together and set up the forthcoming series of events in the MCU. The sneak peak at the end was just what I was hoping to see and set up for the Avengers 2 in a very good way. If you don't have this on Blu-Ray, get it.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a good film within the MCU.

Another great Captain America show we like it a lot and would it again

When the first Captain America came out, it was simplistic and a great way to introduce the moralistic Steve Rogers. The sequel is a great progression because it delves deeper into the Captain America story with a darker tone than the first. And by projecting these characters into the modern day, real world issues was a nice touch. Many comic book movie sequels start to get cornier and cornier as they are made, but Winter Soldier went in the opposite direction. A more mature Captain America that the whole family can still enjoy watching.

Captain America returns following his adventures in the other Marvel flicks, The First Avenger and The Avengers, against the Winter Soldier. Easily one of the better Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films to be released so far and possibly the best direct sequel yet. Video and audio present on the blu ray is top notch. A Marvel short film is sorely lacking since they've been somewhat of a tradition included on past Marvel films. The steelbook version offered Best Buy is very nice looking for any collectors and is likely now sold out.

While the original Captain America and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is great, Captain America 2 really takes things to another level. Part action movie, part espionage, Cap 2 calls into question a lot of what we thought we knew about the way things were in the marvel universe. This movie takes place after the events of the Avengers and those who would watch it would be best served to have seen that film as well as the first Captain America, but the movie stands incredibly strong alone and could be enjoyed by anyone.

The Winter Soldier is a great adaptation of an iconic Captain America arc, and for the MCU is creates a shockwave that will be felt well I to the upcoming slate of films as well as Agents of SHIELD. It's a bit of a political thriller with the same popcorn action vibe that has worked so well for the Marvel movies before it. The Blu-Ray itself has great image quality and beefy audio, near reference quality for some action heavy scenes. While lacking a Marvel One-Shot in the special features, the supplements provided still satisfy.

Marvel 4K’s are always a treat and this one is a must have. There’s no need to speak about the movie just the disc. This is a great upgrade from the bluray. The hdr brings a color pop and nice details and the Dolby vision good lord. Dolby atmos audio is just like the other marvel 4ks you will have to tweak it up to get the feel and sounds but all in all A must a must a must have!

This is the best Marvel Movie yet imo. The action is top notch, coming up with very unique fight and action sequences that are tailored to what a super-soldier would actually fight and act like. The car chase scenes top the Matrix Reloaded - which is saying something, and the multiple pieces and players all involved add a level of complexity to the plot that hasn't been reached before in any Marvel Movie. Plus it has Robert Redford playing a more important role than Glen Close in Guardians. My favorite Marvel movie hands down!

Captain America The Winter Soldier is a great sequel that follows up after two years from the end of Avengers. You get to see how Cap has grown and is dealing with living in a new century and also the politics that go on in Shield. There is great acting all around. Robert Redford brings in a marvelous performance. My gripes about this release is the special features. To me it seems Marvel feels like they don't care this time around for special features, that they feel oh well they will just go and buy it to complete their collections. Unlike Thor: The Dark World where we got a sense on the brothers journey of Loki and Thor and also a Marvel one shot. This time around I found it lacking. You get a few 10 minute features and a Gag reel, but there wasn't much in detail like fight coreography, costume and set designs or really anything worth it this time around. They put more effort into the First Avenger's features than this one. Aside from that. It's a movie worth owning and adding to your collection.

Leaps and bounds above the original, this sequeal delivers amazing action and a solid story. Fans of Marvel will love the continuation of the shared universe and casual audiences will enjoy it for the spectacle. The Blu-Ray itself is beautiful HD and the sound quality is reminiscent of watching in the theater. The only area in which it is lacking is the special features which offer a few neat behind-the-scenes featurettes, but that's about it. I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking to really enjoy the next 2 hours.
