For a superhero movie this had a very good storyline. No, its not perfect, but it builds on the first movie and sets up the third film. I enjoyed Nick Fury and Black Widow playing significant parts in the film. My favorite scenes included Falcon and Winter Soldier and the movie did a good job of giving everybody time to shine. i look forward to the third film and seeing how Captain America continues to adjust to the present times and holds on to his 1940's values.

Movies don't get any better than this. As far a superhero movies go, this is right up there with X-Men 2 for me. It was great to see Cap's code in modern times. They gave more screen time to Black Widow, who is not my favorite character, but it helped to make her a bit more likable. They made a Falcon for the times and made him very believable and they took the story somewhere I never expected them to go. It is just a flat-out great movie. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Marvel movie, took many steps further from the first Captain America movie, really got in depth with it. One thing I didn't like (Spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't Read If you haven't seen it) is that the death continuity doesn't work anymore. Nobody can really die so I feel that it will ruin the effect and importance when someone actually dies and stays dead, we as an audience will constantly be waiting for them to come back because everyone else comes back.

I will admit...ive never been a fan of Capt.America growing up but after seeing this film, I definitely have a greater respect for Cap. Fast paced action sequences, good dialog and Winter Soldier is a badass. Surprised to see Robert Redford in the mix as the behind the scenes villain but he does a good job. Nicely sets up future movie "Civil War" as I'm sure Avengers 2 will further do as well as set up for Infinite Gauntlet storyline. Marvel's come a long way.

As a big movie fan I'd grown tired of how repetitive Hollywood had gotten, every few years the same movies were getting made w/ different titles or with poorly written sequels. Then along came Marvel w/ Iron Man, which was good but deep down we all wanted Captain America to be made, and the first one was great! The question though, how to follow up, the story line for Winter Soldier is so amazing its hard to believe it played out in comic books years ago!

I'm glad I got this in 3D. It is a great tie in to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And I was excited near the end of season 1 too. But that's for another review. This movie had great characters, kind of predictable plot if you know the comics. I couldn't help but know what was going to happen. But I'm the type who likes to see how the movie's take of the comics/books would play out. Good story. Good plot. Of course, you have to see it for Stan Lee's cameo. :)

We are Comic movie lover family and also think that this one is better than the first one too, more action and a bit better story line. We collect each movie that comes out, so naturally had to buy this one as well. We prefer to buy the movies rather than watch them at the theater, for a family of four it can get spendy and since we have a pretty nice theater at home it makes sense . It just takes a while before we get to watch them. All in all, great movie.

Captian America: The Winter Soldier is an excellent thiller with tons of action, a compelling plot and superheroes! Perhaps the most well rounded of the Marvel films to date. Chris Evans does a great job portraying Captain America/Steve Rogers...very earnest and without irony, which makes that character so believeable. The movie is well paced, tightly plotted and is superbly entertaining, yet it also leaves you anticipating the next chapter in the saga.

Disney/Marvel has done it again. If you are into the Marvel movie surge that is currently taking place in Hollywood, there is not finer treat besides Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers. The bluray 3d/bluray offers stunning picture, great 3d depth, and an action movie that is first rate all the way. Even for those unfamiliar with the character or his background, fear not, this movie is for everyone and enjoyable regardless. Definitely a 4 star purchase.

If you're like me then you were highly anticipating the next Captain America Outing. I find this to definitely be the best of the "Phase 2" Marvel films and one of the best overall. I still think I prefer the original Captain America, but this one is very good. It's well paced and acted and grounded in more of a reality than the other films. The steelbook packaging is a dream come true for collectors. Be sure to pick it up fast as it's very hard to find.

The first Captain America film was good. Unexpectedly so. I really enjoyed it, so naturally for a sequel I was expecting to be let down. Boy was I wrong. This film was like the best bits of Bond and Bourne and upped tenfold. If you haven't seen this one yet, what are you doing. Go out and get this movie. The steelbook is pretty standard. better than the flimsy plastic packaging but nothing really special. I wish this came with more content or something.

I must admit the story line was one of the best I have seen in the Marvel series. The characters were well played and their development was above average. The movie moves at a pace that demonstrated the directors outstanding ability to anticipate the audiences expectations. I am a very satisfied consumer and look foreword to more action movies of this quality!

I was waiting for this film to come out on Blue Ray as I missed it in the theaters. I have to say that I enjoyed it very much and it tied in with S.H.E.I.L.D. very well, which I followed. The action and plot is good, after all it is Captain America, and the special effects are up to par with this newest movie. Acting is very good with the characters very believable and the action moving along well with no dull time to break it up. Highly recommended.

Hailed one of the greatest MCU movies for a reason. As a stand alone movie, it is filled with espionage and a story so captivating and intriguing, you need no further information about the MCU going into it. Such a worthy including in the franchise and one of my favorites.

for starters, this was an exclusive steelbook. as usual, the steelbook is well manufactured and has, as of yet, stood the test of time. it has been opened and closed, opened and closed many times, and the plastic hinge has maintained it's integrity. as for the movie, well, marvel has once again done a fantastic job merging the comics with a story even the non-comic readers can follow.

Marvel has put out a lot of films in the last decade or so. But Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the best stand alone Marvel film since Iron Man in 2008. The others have been fun and entertaining. However, this movie has more than that. There's a compelling story and well choreographed action. This movie also represents Captain America's powers in a new light. Top it off with good acting and your inner nerd will be demanding this movie.

First things first, I absolutely LOVED this movie. The only reason I'm not giving this release a full 5 stars is the fact that a Blu-ray+DVD Combo was not offered (the film itself warrant's 5 stars easily) The movie's realistic tone allows us to view the characters as believable people, even while dealing with the most fantastic of circumstances - His encounter with Peggy Carter (who's suffering from dementia) is especially touching. The gritty fight scenes are reminiscent of the Bourne films, and the Russo brothers achieve an immediacy through tight editing that never confuses the viewer while maintaining a rapid pace. Also, I really enjoyed the way the Falcon character was brought to the screen - I read the comics a very young child in the 80's, and was struck by how silly his costume was even then! ;-) Two thumbs WAY UP!

Sequels don't always suck. Sometimes, they surpass the original and set the bar higher for the entire genre. "The Winter Soldier" does just that. In a time when comic book adaptations are the rage, its refreshing to have a film that is not a regurgitation of same plot lines of every other hero movie out there. It still fits very nicely into the Marvel Cinematic Universe but does so it a way that challenges the next movies in line to best it.

This really is an excellent movie! A great Suspense thriller even if you remove all the superhero elements. Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie play their respective roles to a tee. There is plenty of action in this film, although I thought we should have seen a little more of the Winter Solider. If you're looking for an action flick with a great story, and you happen to be a Marvel fan, then you should pick this up. You will not be disappointed!

I was a bit lukewarm about buying "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" but I'm glad I did. I saw the movie in 3D at an Imax theater and I wasn't sure the Blu-ray would match that experience. The fact is I enjoyed it just as much on my HDTV and picked up on a number of things I didn't take notice of when I saw it in the theater. Be sure to watch the extra scenes in the closing credits if you walked out too early when you first saw the movie.
