    Captain Marvel

Not the best Marvel movie but being a Marvel fan I had to purchase to add to the rest. Without as many well-known characters it was difficult for them to put together a good story that was as intriguing as most Marvel movies. Still good, but not the best.

I didn't know anything about the character Captain Marvel before seeing this movie so this was a good introduction to the character. It was a really enjoyable movie. It was a little confusing in the beginning but the film clarifies all that as it goes along. I liked that there were strong female characters. I loved the humor spread through out the movie. The movie isn't just the background for the Captain Marvel character as it also gives more insight into some other Marvel characters.

Captain Marvel [SteelBook] - the physical items great. The movie was average, nothing really stood out. Captain Marvel did not live up to what I would expect the franchise to put out. Not a horrible movie, just not impressive enough to drop 35 bucks on.

I thought that I was watching a SuperGirl movie when I watched this movie of "Captain Marvel". Nothing extraordinary with this movie. Good action and special effects; but, it's all the same as with most all of the "hero" movies, but, Captain Marvel has no weaknesses at all. You had to piece it together for yourself at why she was called Captain Marvel. She was supposedly a "captain" in the air force" at one time and she had a good friend with the last name Marvel get killed and she took her last name. Crazy reason...that's why you have to figure it out by yourself instead of them just naming her after the Marvel comic book franchise. Not a keeper; but, I bought the blu-ray of it thinking that it would be.

I had high hopes for the start of the next Marvel Franchise, but I felt this fell short compared to the first Iron Man, Capt America and Thor movies. It was very watchable, but nothing outstanding. A good popcorn movie, but I would rent it, not buy it.

Look, I wasn't too anxious to see this when it hit theaters, so I waited and rented it. It was okay, not a great movie you can watch over and over, but its okay. I had to get the steelbook cause I collect some for the artwork, and movie of course.

Not all Marvel films are equal. By far this has got to be one of the most linear and predictable films in the Marvel universe. Larsons portrayal is a bit bland, as usual. A must for a die hard fan, but not for those interested in a good story.

Like almost all of the Marvel movies it is well made and enjoyable. As this was released in between Infinity War and Endgame and set in the 90's it felt less consequential than other Marvel movies that have been released in the last few years.

Was hoping for a stronger storyline but didn’t do so...story was slow and lacked energy ...did a decent job portraying her as a powerful hero but only told the end...disappointed overall

The FX were great but Not sure if it was the directing or the actress herself but I could never really develop any empathy for the character. I couldn't find any reason to cheer for her. OK movie but far below the Marvel Universe standard.

Captain Marvel was a far better movie than I thought it would be. A great supporting cast helped Marvel-newcomer (and academy award winner) Brie Larson take on the pivotal role of one of the most powerful women in the (Marvel) universe.

Very cool twist for the comic book enthusiast that go in with the mindset of who typically is good or evil within the comics. For those that dont go for comicbook's but enjoy the movie's this is a fun old school action sci-fi flick.

Just my opinion, I’m just being honest- don’t like the movie at all. Compare to some Marvel movies I’ve seen - this is so not good. I don’t know if it’s the story or the way the movie is made. Maybe she’s not the best for captain marvel-

Its not the worst MCU movie I've seen but its certainly not the best either. far from it actually. It suffers from bad story elements and typical plot twist that you see coming from a mile away. It feels the need to bang you over the head with its strong women feminism message. Unlike like Wonder Woman where you just got that she was a strong woman from her actions, this film seems to wanna tell you that with dialogue that we don't need. Show us rather than tell us, because it is a very important movement. I think it could've been presented better in the film. Its decent, but there are better films out there with the same message. Good action scenes though.

While this movie isn't one of my favorite Marvel films it is still fun to watch. It was portrayed by social media as being empowering for women, yet Bre Larson's portrayal fell short of what some had hoped for the character. Still it's a great story and a powerful character in the Marvel universe. The presentation is great in 4K, 2K upscaled in reality. A digital Dolby Vision version is included in the form of a Movies Anywhere code. I enjoyed the movie and can recommend it.

Maybe it’s because I’m not really a Captain Marvel fan but I found this movie slow moving and kinda boring. I watched it and purchased it because it is a part of the MCU and no other reason. BUT like I said I’m not Captain Marvel fan.

Complete with plenty of 90s nostalgia and music, Captain Marvel is another solid franchise starter. Origin stories are harder to tell these days so the directors change it up a bit by starting Carol already mostly-powered up and fleshing out her story through flashbacks and a journey to discovering her past with a younger version of Nick Fury. While not everything works perfectly, it sets the stage for her appearance in Endgame and subsequent planned sequels.

Some good action sequences, it looked to me as if they rushed the movie. No real direction, if you follow Marvel you knew going in who the bad guys were and it kinda of made the hero seem not to smart. Would recommend to view not buy

This latest entry in the MCU introduces a new character to aid The Avengers, and S.H.I.E.L.D., in protecting Earth. It seemed a little pretentious and predictable, at times, but did have it’s moments. A must see for story continuity.
