What a deal! Got this awesome Steelbook 4K edition as a Deal of the Day for $8! Couldn’t be more thrilled to add it to my Avengers collection. Great case, includes the Digital Copy and has both BluRay and 4K discs. The movie itself has one of the best plots of all the Avengers movies in my opinion. The added plot substance definitely makes Captain Marvel a little slower than most of the others, but it’s worth it to see how this substantial Marvel character came to be.

I had mixed feelings when I first saw this movie in the Theaters. I guess I was expecting the typical Marvel movie whether it was Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, Avengers. This movie was different and had a different story line. I had to watch it a few more times to appreciate the brilliance of it. When I watched it in Blu-ray for the first time, I thought WOW - what a terrific movie! A must have for the Marvel cinematic universe!

Captain Marvel is the most powerful hero in the Marvel universe. Good that we finally get a introduction to her. Good casting of Brie Larson for this role; however, the plot was poor When can we see Captain Marvel vs Superman?

Captain Marvel almost felt it was a last minute add on to the rest of the MCU. Perhaps if she would’ve been introduced sooner it might feel different. The movie is ok, it’s not terrible it just kinda feels like it was unnecessar.

Captain Marvel is a fun romp with a de-aged Nick Fury pre eye patch and lots of action in the Marvel manner. Not their best movie but still well worth watching although I will always think of Shazam as the REAL Captain Marvel.

Looked great in 4k story was a little predictable fury stole the show worth a rental dont think it’s worth 30 dollars if you can get it cheap on Black Friday for like 10 dollars I would say say go for it yeah little disappointed

I will not review the movie, but will make a comment on why the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is better than watching the movie on a streaming service. The Blu-ray uses lower compression and a Wide Color Gamut (WCG). HD TV was designed in the 90s for CRT TVs and uses a limited color gamut. Movie theaters display movies that were recorded using the DCI-P3 color space (WCG). If you own a 4K TV that can display the DCI-P3 color space you will see a notable difference.

Not reviewing the film itself here just the presentation and technical aspects. Without getting too technical about anything the picture is of a very high quality and utilizes HDR10 which really makes those lighting effects pop. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is nicely implemented and gives a lot of fun overhead sound objects thanks to all the flying around. On a less technical note the steel book case is beautifully done and is definitely collection worthy.

I'm a completest, so I had to purchase this film for my collection. I found this movie disappointing compared to a lot of the other Marvel films. There was some laughs as to be expected, but over all the story line felt weak.

While this movie was okay, i did not become an instant fan. The character was okay, and I am not sure what can be done to help Captain Marvel rank with the other Marvel heroes! I give it a three out of five rating...so-so.

It was just okay. I really liked the ideas they were playing with and the 90's time period. I just feel like it had the potential for way more. I don't feel like I wasted my time watching it, I just wanted more from it.

From the beginning of the film's production to its premiere, it has been maligned for its leading lady's comments and overall characterization but still a fun movie. The big surprise was Ben Mendelssohn's performance!

Captain Marvel as you will see, is one of the most powerful Marvel characters in their universe. The story follows her from Kree (alien planet), and her travels to Earth. Captain Marvel's mind unlocks the truth about her memory and powers. Lots of action and music set in the 1990s makes this film fun. With a bit of sarcasm and great special effects this film is a winner and completes the Marvel films following Infinity War and before End Game.

Was not the best marvel movie. Would only buy if on sale which I did. Normally price would be a rip off but it was cool. They made the character way too strong so there is no moments of parallel but it’s okay.

Captain Marvel ironically fails to be marvelous. It is a fun and breezy movie that helps flesh out some of the backstory of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But it fails to hit the highs of some of the other films.

Not a bad movie, a bit uneven in terms of backstory and main story line. The main question is "if Captain Mar-Vel has all the power she demonstrates she and the avengers should have easily ended Thanos's reign.

I hated what they did with Nick Fury in this film. This film is average at best, but has some cool action scenes. One thing that is true is that they really capture how powerful Captain Marvel is in the comics.

Some argue that this installment isn't necessary, and that Carole shows up (barely) in Endgame. Her presence in the MCU is underwhelming. I agree. This movie is entertaining, however, especially with Fury and Coulson. The action is fairly solid. The effects are hit and miss. And the story seems dry, little cut-n-paste. Nostalgia (the 90s) seem forced at times, No Doubt. But it's still worth a watch. And given the grand plan Marvel has and is still creating, this film may prove a foundation for more Captain Marvel films and/or Phase 2 & 3.

I think if you can ignore all the non-film issues, you essentially have a Marvel film. Superhero, supervillains, secret agents, space ships and other stuff - what else would you want for you matinee dollars.

Overall this movie was on par with the other character debuts of the MCU. The story was middle road and didn’t feel very engaging. Wonder Woman was a much better introduction to a female lead superhero movie.
