Saw Captain Marvel 5 time in the theater. Could not wait for it to become available.

Started out a little slow but it get’s better about twenty minutes in. I hope the next one have a better twist to it.

I'll cut right to it, I didn't care much for this flick. I love Brie Larson and was looking forward to it since it was announced at Comic Con. The movie just felt so sparse and unpopulated. There's a sequence which takes place in a secret government facility involving gunfire, fistfights, and explosions. You'd think that type of action would attract the attention of heavy security given the fact that it's pretty much a military base, however, no one bats an eye or shows up to investigate. It's a little thing but it just seems like such a rookie mistake. Add to that, Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is pretty much a desk jockey who is a far cry from the battle-hardened hero handler we've come to love since the stinger in 2008's Iron Man. As far as the criticism the movie gets on behalf of Brie Larson, it's all nonsense. She does what she can with what she's given but she's definitely not a "Karen" or "emotionless" like idiot fanboys continue to regurgitate. The cast is great, its just the story that doesn't really land like it should. Pick it up if you're a hardcore Marvel completist. I'm hoping the sequel makes good on the promise and potential of the character.

Comparing this to DCs Wonder Woman I enjoyed Captain Marvel way more. Wonder woman dragged where as captain marvel kept my attention.
