This is an excellent and fun filled superhero movie. The writing and characters interactions are superb. Didn’t realize that Larson and Jackson had previously acted on another film together, which would explain their chemistry that shines in their character discussions. There is a lot of subtle humor throughout the movie, especially with Larson’s facial expressions, to include moving her flowing hair aside. The special effects and action scenes are also well paced in balancing character development and keeping the audience engaged. The 1990’s technology and store references are also quite humorous, such as making an AT&T long distance phone call. The main plot revolves around the main character, trying to recall her memories, while hunting down shapeshifting aliens. The mystery and galactic fight takes them to Earth and meeting Nick Fury, with SHIELD. The subplot shows the struggles that women pilots had to overcome to be in the Air Force. Overall a wonderful movie. The extra features are ok, as they are a bit short. When buying the 4K version, the special features are on the Blu-ray disc, no extra features on the 4K disc.

Captain Marvel is a triumph not just of girl power, but of the plain old power of a great movie. The superhero, played by Brie Larson, is the first female character ever to be a female superhero of a Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The film is packed with action, humor, and visual thrills, with an origin story that makes effective use of the franchise's signature formula. Brie Larson shines, quite literally and has good chemistry with Samuel L. Jackson. For those with good home theater systems, this film will be an excellent demo with great sound and if you happen to be running Dolby Atmos, your in for a real treat with the overhead speakers. Highly recommended.

This HERo inspires me everyday is way you cant even imagine, and thats not because she's so strong butEMOTIONALLY stronger. I hate to sound like a pageant queen lol but She inspires me to want to do good things for people, even if its as little as holding the dorr open for strangers. I have a growing collection of Captain Marvel and She gets me through any dark time i have. aside from my Family. So please support it and show it to kids, BOYS $ GIRLS And this is coming from an attractive 30yr old Male HAHA

Alright so I have mixed feelings on the movie if you couldn't tell by the summary. We got great performances out of Sam Jackson, Goose, and Ben Mendelhson. When it comes to Brie Larson I'm on the fence with her, at moments she is great but there are times when I feel like she is a bit wooden in her performance. I could've used a little more feeling in the way she delivered her lines. Now the positives... the action is incredible and the colors on the 4k transfer great as always. Sound again is a bit of a miss for me, I feel like marvel still hasn't found out how to mix there movies for home audiences. The atmos mix is the best option and that's only because its slightly better the the 5.1 mix on the Blu-ray. If only Marvel could figure out their home mixes they would be in amazing shape, until that day though I feel like we will all be a little underwhelmed on the home release front.

This is a a true MCU superhero movie with a female superhero leading the way. You also will see a rookie agent Colson, and learn a lot about Nick Fury including why he wears the eyepatch; watch out for the cute kitty cat. Packaged with a digital copy code and it unlocks several featurettes including a blooper reel. Definitely watch befor you watch Avengers: Endgame.

I love Marvel and went to see this movie on opening night and loved it. Brie Larson was great. Loved her attitude. So many are hating on her in real life because of some comments and such. I dont care. The movie was great and preordered it a month ago and picked it up today. About to watch it again. and the digital copy i added to my itunes account.

Don’t listen to haters. For those saying it’s not true 4K, they need to get their system upgrade to THE TRUE 4K! High quality components vs cheap components! Let’s show what an all “Monster” System can do to those haters...

This can be a good reference Blu Ray for showing off your nice TV or surround sound, but the movie itself and plot is not that great... especially considering how good the other MCU movies are.

Great movie and love the steelbook series. Captain Marvel is a great movie. A great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel knocked this one out of the park. The 4K picture was fantastic and the Dolby Atmos was really great

This movie is just ok, it was harder to get in to than other Marvel movies. My kids still loved it!

Like this take on the Skrull. Marvel seems overly arrogate of her powers.

Over the years the MCU has had some good movies and some great movies. Sadly Cap. Marvel is among the weakest entrees. If you compare it to other lower tier MCU movies such and Iron Man 2/3 or Thor 2 those movies are much better in comparison as they at least have likable character with pleasant personalities and fun interactions with other characters. Cap Marvel is just flat and boring. Seeing it twice personally the second viewing was almost painfully slow. Thankfully they kept her mostly out of Endgame it being one of the weaker Avengers movies already but at least enjoyable. Hopefully they will figure out what to do with this Character before Cap marvel 2. Hopefully over the years she will grow a personality and learn how to interact with others.

This movie was not as bad as I thought it would be but is no where near what I call good. I wouldn't have paid to see it, but if it were free, I wouldn't object. How it made a billion dollars is beyond me. The movie essentially destroys many of the things other characters have said and done in previous movies, rendering their motivations silly or just plain stupid.

Saw this in the theater twice. It is apparent that the directors were out of their depth when given a big picture to work on. It feels like a disjointed two hour long trailer of random scenes meshed together. No real relevance to the overall MCU, and wholly forgettable if you're simply looking to watch the overall story linking those films. The acting is the worst of any superhero film of the past decade, the Fantastic Four reboot & Spirits of Vengeance not withstanding. The actors simply seemed disinterested in providing a good film. No real link to the comics other than the name. How they butchered the Monica Rambeau character, as well as wholly ruining the Skrulls while not utilizing Mendelsohn is BEYOND comprehension. They had the cast in place to develop a good film, but dropped the ball in every aspect. The sole reason to buy this film is simply to complete your MCU collection. It won't be worth a watch, but it will fill a space on one's shelf.

Cool Steelbook with a great design. Movie is solid as well.
