Despite all the controversy around this movie, it is an excellent film. It is action packed and funny in all the right places. It gives a good back story for both Carol Danvers and Nick Fury. And works well as a stand alone film. This movie is a must for all MCU collectors and necessary to understand some of the events of the Avengers, End Game.

Captain Marvel is good fun action adventure. Brie Lawson does an excellent job playing Captain Marvel. Samuel Jackson is the right actor to play Nick Fury. It was nice to see the Kree nation along with Ronan. The plot was excellent and the story of how Carol became the most powerful superhero in MCU. If you haven't seen this movie please watch it.

Fun movie with the Carol Danvers version of CM. Would have been better if they had left Mar-Vell as a man instead of going all the other direction and replacing traditionally male characters with one's that are now female. Nothing against the actors, the acting, or the plot. I thought it fine, but a bit of a deviation from the source material.

The first female led superhero movie from marvel studios is a smash hit that's not only about the universe's strongest avenger but also female empowerment. Brie Larson's superhero persona shines especially when paired alongside Samuel Jackson's young Nick Fury in this installment to the MCU that sure to dazzle and delight for many years to come.

Captain Marvel might be a little generic compared to some of the other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we sorely needed the strong and determined female character that she brings to the fight. I rank this film right in the middle of the pack of MCU films in that it is entertaining enough for multiple rewatches, brings in some interesting new folds and great characters, and will make you fist pump as Carol Danvers perseveres.

Another great installment in the MCU that finally gives us a female lead hero! It is the standard origin story but the fact that it is another link in a larger story & gives us a diverse character makes that forgivable. The Steelbook makes this a great addition to your physical collection & the digital version is great for the future of movies.

For those of us who grew up with only males in the Captain's role whether it was Captain Midnight or Captain Kirk, it is great to see a woman leading the pack in role of Captain Marvel. One more excellent film from Marvel Comics, which continues its' super successful run from day Disney took over. Highly commend to cinema fans of all ages.

My exposure to this Marvel character was primarily with the male version (Captain Mar-Vell) from my older brother's comic books. I wasn't particularly aware when Brie's character became the latest iteration of this hero. Having said that, this was a good origin story and the movie itself had a great mix of comedy, action and great special FX!

That's right, I said it! Despite the polarizing response to this film, I feel like this is one of the more entertaining origin story films. Although not as flashy or action packed as some of the more popular Marvel films, the performances by all involved really elevate the material, and made this film one of my favorites (so far) of 2019.

Captain Marvel did a very good job of introducing the character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and also bringing in the Kree race and the Kree/Skrull war, although not exactly as portrayed in the classic Roy Thomas/Neal Adams and Tom Palmer story. Jude Law was wickedly good as Yon-Rogg and the rest of the cast was good too.

Another great Marvel origin story...you get to see how Carol Danvers becomes Captain Marvel, and also how Nick Fury becomes the Hero he is in the previous movies. If you have read the Captain Marvel comics, you will see some differences, but they pretty much cover everything you would want to see (no spoilers here!). Enjoy the ride...…

I love the Marvel movies! I've been a fan since Dolph Lundgren played the Punisher. The Avengers series has kept me interested, so there was no doubt that Captain Marvel would make it into my collection. I enjoyed the movie a lot, but didn't ever see the main character ever being in danger as she is invincible. She is awesome, don't get me wrong, but un-relateable. The story line was well written and the effects are top notch :)

Compared to other Marvel movies you could argue that this one isn't in the top 3 but this is a great origin movie for Captain Marvel and is a great start to this character. This is a nice blend of action with a decent story behind it as she finds her roots and how she became a superhero. Good for all ages that enjoy superhero movies.

The movie is fun, as you probably already know. The picture and sound on a 4K blu-ray is very good. This is as good as we can get. No 4K download can come close to the bitrate of a disc. The Dolby Atmos is even better than almost all commercial theaters, and the picture quality with HDR and wide color spectrum is better than many.

This was underrated and better than End Game IMO. Best buy steelbooks are always dented if aren't to your house vs store pick up.... take my advice if you're a collector. This steelbook is simple workn no embossing. I wish the US releases did more embossing but overall it's a clean steelbook. I enjoy this purchase, highly recommended.

So the movie itself is pretty good. Its not one of Marvels greatest films but its good enough as an intro to one of he strongest characters in the MCU. If you didn't watch it in theaters then now is the time to add it to your collection and watch it at home. Aside from the movie the actual steelbook art is awesome both inside and out.

While I give this an overall rating of five stars it's because though it's not the best film of the MCU it's necessary to give a origin to what could be a major character of Avengers endgame. The story is good but not great. It's nice to see Nick Fury and a young Agent Colson again. I would put this somewhere in the middle of the pack.

I originally saw it in the theatre and I absolutely thought it was great. I was not familiar with the character Capt. Marvel so I was surprised with the entire story. The action, the story and the characters are spot on. A great super hero movie, enjoy !

Had to pick up to add to my collection, I thoroughly enjoyed it in theaters and watched it again on 4k. No complaints, it may not be the best Marvel movie in the world but it isn't terrible by any means. My youngest sister gets bored easily by movies but she sat and watched through this one and both my little sisters really loved it.

Although disliked by many, I am tired of the overly used formulaic treatments from Marvel. This movie felt different, but frankly, this is what I needed as a change from Marvel. Much like Wonder Woman, this was a welcome change from formula. I will admit that Bree Larson needs more acting experience to pull this role off over time. Her role performance, although short in End Game, was noticeably better than in this film. S
