This is likely one of Marvel's best movies. The story was good. It explained a lot of Shield and Avengers backstory. And the music scratched me right where I itched, since it takes place in the mid 1990s. The cast was fantastic and the special effects were, as usual, top notch.

This was a great movie. It really filled in the blanks left void in the franchise. Brie Larson did an incredible job of making the character believable, endearing, and strong. The story builds upon itself and keeps you guessing, until the truth finally begins to unfold. Go watch it!

I recommend this movie as it has a good plot that moves within the defined parameters of the Marvel Universe. I was set to not like it as I have some original Capt. Marvel comics where Billy Batson says "Shazam" and the adventure begins. This was a delight to launch from where it did.

It's an ok movie. Not the best and certainly not the worst. Larson did great as a human in the movie but she just didn't sell it as Captain Marvel. Kind of like Terrence Howard as Rhodey in the first Iron Man. Good actor, but didn't seem to sell the role. Even before seeing the movie, I thought I don't see here in that role. But whatever, it does open up the story.

Well, here's the MCU's answer to where Nick Fury got the weird pager he used at the end of Infinity War... Good movie, well directed, but not a great movie - they needed to get the character introduced, and some backstory told, before she shows up in time for Endgame (see this movie's second post-credits scene...) OTOH, I watch my cats every day for Flurken-like activity.

Not much you can say if your a Marvel fan. I saw it in the theater and had to purchase it. Quality is super. Good old fashion moral story here. We fall down, we always get up. We learn along the way and get stronger. Story of a true hero, and a hint at how S.H.I.E.L.D. started.

This movie is a great introduction to Capt. Marvel and includes the back story for several other long running characters too. In it, we may also see the first actual interaction with one of the Infinity Stones. Good story line and great action. This is one I will watch over and over.

Had no desire to see this at the movies. Quite frankly I'm tired of Hollywoods lack of creativity and selling us sequel after sequel of films. Had one of those moments and decide to watch the movie on disc....and who else but Best Buy for in stock items and affordable prices. Glad I did. This turned out to be a pretty good movie. I will probably even watch it again.

I do NOT like children, but I MUST say how empowering this film must be for younger females. This is a high action film, showcasing females with great intelligence, tons of power, and compassion, WITHOUT having to make men look like creeps or a-holes while doing that. Great film!

This was a good movie. There were lots of special effects which makes buying it in 4K worth it. Additionally, the movie itself has a lot of cool 90's throwback stuff in it. Some people may not like her (Brie's) real life agenda but I only care about the movie which was good.

It may be a bit more expensive to get the steelbook version of Captain Marvel, but worth it just in case you do get a 4K player. The film is a crisp print, and the extras are great, too, especially the gag reel. You can also download the digital version so you can see it anywhere,

This movie does a good job of mixing Catain Marvel into the MCU. A lot of backlash from critics over the choice of Larson, but all in all she does a great job. This is a must watch of one of the most powerful MCU characters ever created, even though they did not dive into that yet.

Love the MCU. Great movie. I liked how they shuffled the timeline for an origin story. ie It didn't start from the beginning and used many flashbacks that didn't make sense at first but by the end, everything came together. Very interesting. Can't wait for Captain Marvel 2.

I read mixed things about this movie, so I was a little leery. However, I found the movie to be better than expected. Brie does a good job with the character and makes it her own. The plot is entertaining and helpful for Endgame. The action is engaging and the effects are great.

Great installment to the Marvel family of movies. Saw this in theatre and bought it for home and have watched it about 6 times now. Some cheesy acting scenes but amazing special effects with hi res scenes!! Tons of action with lots of air and ground fights including chase scenes!!

Larson is a great casting choice to play Danvers/Captain Marvel. She has an air of power with a soft femininity underneath and a sarcastic wit. As an action movie, Captain Marvel is really clever, with more than a few twists that'll surprise both comics fans and newcomers alike.

Never heard of captain Marvel before this movie. Story reminded me a little of Wonder Woman. I think this is a very good movie with a good story line and a great character. It will be great to see more of this character in the future. I think everyone will enjoy this movie.

Some people have a problem with a female character being the hero of a movie. I don't, especially if it is Brie Larson. Also in the cast are Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and Annette Bening, all of whom add greatly to the movie. The movie itself is a typical Marvel story-line with the action that you come to expect with Marvel movies. Buy it, you'll like it.

Like many others, I’m huge MCU fan. I didn’t love this movie, but it wasn’t terrible either. I personally thought the main character was a little smug. Otherwise Fury and Goose were fantastic. The steelbook itself is really nice. Would recommend - good to have in the collection.

A good movie for the marvel universe, not sure if I agree that she is the most powerful hero in the marvel universe as Disney states. The movie is full of action and helps fill the female void of superheroes. I felt Wonder Woman was done better, but then you are dealing with two totally different origins. Captain Marvel is worth the money to own and enjoy often.
