Captain Marvel received some (misguided) fanboy flack for some of Brie Larson's comments prior to release, but she puts on a great performance as Captain Marvel, despite initially filming Avengers: endgame, first. As usual extras and commentary are high quality.

I did not get a chance to see this in the movies and waited for it to come out on DVD. It is a really good story and a lot of action. My husband and I really enjoyed watching it. Captain Marvel is my new hero. ( well, except for Ironman, he's still my favorite!)

Brie Larson & Samuel L's dynamic duo chemistry is fantastic. Ben Mendelsohn plays another great which side is he on character. This movie also show there can be a balance between "girl power" and story telling. But the real star of the movie is the 90's soundtrack.

Overall very good. Not my favorite story, somewhat easy to predict, but very good. Nice to see a female lead in a Marvel movie. As usual Samuel L Jackson steals the show. By himself, he earns this movie the 5th star. Without him, I would give this 4 stars.

This was about the only movie from the MCU that I didn't get to see in theaters and now I regret I didn't. Feel complete now that I got to see this finally even after watching End Game. Movie will tie everthing down with the MCU since it's at a different time period

Good movie with a good premise, but Brie Larson just has no charisma on screen. I was really looking forward to the 90's theme and Buddy Cop element between her and Jackson, but it just fell flat at times. Also the fact that she gets all these powers from the Tesseract melding with her - eh, weak. And all of her battles have nothing to do with her growing as a person - everything is external. Compare this with Homecoming which is essentially a "coming of age" tale with a super hero element. Peter Parker had to look inside to get self-worth and grow as a person instead of just being labeled a powerful super hero. He had consequences to his actions and would've failed without help from Ironman. Not a perfect movie either but at least it had a good plot. Also some of the deleted scenes - cringy to say the least. All of that said I did enjoy the movie - it just felt like more of an early Marvel movie than a later one.

I felt this movie did a fairly good job of capturing many of the elements of the Kree and Captain Marvel from the original comics. They did vary from the concept of the Supreme Intelligence more than I would have thought, but the overall story works fairly well and fits into the transition to Avengers End Game. The Flarkin was captured well also.

If you have an OLED tv you won't be bugged by film grain or less than sharp video clarity. Great color and Special Effects. Atoms Soundtrack is good.... I liked the movie overall and the story tied into Guardians I & II well. Glad to add it to my collection....

Enjoyable movie that takes place largely in the 90's. I'm not really sure why I pay the premium price for these exclusive steelbooks anymore though. When they first came out they had raised lettering and seemed like they were worth the price. This one in particular is just a flat metal case with random artwork that has now dropped in price.

Surprising twists and turns for fans of the Marvel Character Universe with an excellent use of CG to bring youth to well-loved characters from recent MCU adventures. Also, a very interesting modification of the MCU timeline which puts old enemies in new framework.

I throughly enjoyed this movie. Wasn’t the usual run of the mill super hero movie, yet, had enough of what you would expect in a blockbuster to give you the wow factor. Include the very nice steel case and you have a must add to your collection. Highly recommend!

Captain Marvel may not compare to Avengers Infinity War or Endgame, but it is a good entry in the MCU and an entertaining backstory for a number of character tie-ins. The steelbook artwork is perfect for this movie. Definitely worth the purchase if you are a fan.

If you’re a Marvel fan you will want this movie in your collection even if it’s not that great since it’s an important lead in to Avengers end game. As far as the Blu Ray package it’s fine, includes digital code but I would have preferred including a DVD as well like most of these package have included before. Some of us still have DVD players.

When I open the package the plastic was really funny smelling exact everything can it tasted weird but other than that I thought it was fine kind of dislike a Feller in a pay pastry like donuts smile smile smile you should smile more often thanks for coming

I have been collecting marvel movies since the start and been trying to convert all to steelbook and with the new 4k releases of iron man and thor and captain america they are almost complete. Now i really loved captain marvel for being a really good backstory.

I couldnt wait till this movie came out on bluray. I wanted to watch over and over after seeing in the theater. It had the right mix of comedy and adventure plus the backstory of Nick Fury was terrific!!

I preordered my steel book cause they always sell out. Surprisingly, I walked in and they had so much. Not sure why, this movie had action Andrew it was a great intro movie for Captain Marvel. I did not know her backstory and I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

This was our first introduction to captain marvel. The movie came out just before the highly awaited avengers endgame. It did a good job introducing a new character and we learned more about some old favorites. Overall a decent time... the marvel formula works.

While this isn't one of my favorites in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is another solid entry. Has some great action sequences and some very comedic moments that you probably won't see coming. Overall it is another must see movie from Marvel Studios.

How good can you really get a movie? Some of the CGI stuff was pretty good. (Actually miss Blockbuster, I'm old... one good thing about rented a hard copy, no streaming issues. You could pop it open at the desk and request a different copy.) Kitty, kitty. Nick Fury loves cats?! You can watch this as a stand alone story and still enjoy it.
