Captain Phillips was portrayed exceptionally well by Tom Hanks, and the somali pirates and navy seals acting was so real...it kept you on the edge of your seat....wondering what was going to happen next!

Captain Phillips was a blind buy for me, however I was very satisfied. This movie had me on the edge of my seat, and had my girlfriend and I tearing up by the end. A very compelling movie. Two thumbs up!

I thought this was a very well made an thought provoking movie however I didn't particularly care for the ending. I wish they had edited the final scene showing Captain Phillips in the ship's infirmary.

Great action film! Out of all the Tom Hanks films I've collected, this one is a great non-stop action film. My favorite actor is Barkhad Abdi—"Look at me. Look at me: I'm the captain now." Enough said!

An amazing movie all the way through. Astounding performances from Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi which deliver riveting, emotionally complex, and hugely intelligent dramatisation of a real-life event! The film keeps you on the edge of your seat! The only downside is the movie did not include the digital copy when it clearly says in the description that it is included. I am assuming it is a studio issue and not Best Buy because it is the third Sony movie that is said to include a digital copy but did not have one, others being American Hustle and Whiplash. If you do not mind the exclusion of the digital copy then I would totally recommend this movie!

Tom Hanks delivers a good performance in this great movie. Great movie because it is based on a true story. The message is do not think the United States will negotiate with cowardly pirates.

this is the second time we've watched this movie. Its every bit as good as it was the 1st time . Tom Hanks once again is a superb actor

The movie is based on a true story. It was make with great taste and great actors. Tom Hanks had a wonderful performance. I was very impressed and at the end wanted to meet the real Captain Phillips.

Great Tom Hanks flick. Movie was all around great. Wanted to see it from the first time I saw the previews in the movies but never got around to it. Good blind buy and to top it off it's a steelbook!

Good movie. Amazing acting. Even though Tom did a great job I can see why he got passed for an oscar non on this film but saving me banks was a good performance don't know why he was passed on that.

A well made movie of actual true events that took place. The acting and directing were top notch. I would recommend viewing this moving to those that want to see how a movie is supposed to me made.

I really enjoyed this movie. Even though we all know what will happen, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It also features great acting by Tom hanks and by the actors who play the pirates.

This movie was really great.Of course it had an outstanding actor starring in it.You can not go wrong when Tom Hanks is starring in a movie,he is a seasoned actor.Ranks up there with the Best.

Bought this one because it won an important cinema award. The blu ray picture itself is quite sharp and I was able to redeem the digital copy right away, which was a nice bonus.

Tom Hanks played one of his best roles in this film, and the story kept me fairly entertained throughout the entire movie. Without a doubt, it's one of the year's must-see movies!

Captain Philiphs is a well made movie by director Paul Greengrass. I'm happy that I bought the DVD, now I'm able to watch it home as many times as I want. Would recommend it to everyone!

I had been anticipating seeing this movie, and it did not disappoint. The story, based on real events, was told from both the captain and the Somali pirate's perspective. Well worth it.
