Captain Phillips was a great movie. It didn't waste time getting right into the action. The best part was it is based on a true story, so it was very believable.

Tom Hanks can never produce a bad movie. This one is so spot on. I am glad he was able to talk with the feal Captain Phillips to be as acurate as can be for this film. I realize a bit of embelishment happened to sensationalize the movie, but I found it very riveting.

Tom Hanks does another excellent job and the supporting cast is terrific I think it is based on a true story, and with that in mind I have to say the story is a good one. This is a movie with a lot of tension, but not a lot of action. I enjoyed it very much.

Hanks plays it like this is really happening. I've watched it three times and it gets better every time.

Watched this on a nice 65" Tv and this is one of those movies you can really get a cinematic feel too and man I was glad bc it is awesome. Watch it.

Tom Hanks stars as the captain of a container ship captured by Somali pirates. His command of this emotional role is extraordinary. And you gain some understanding of the desperation that leads the Somalis to undertake these despicable acts. A powerful film.

This is a good quality DVD that was given as a gift. The recipient enjoyed it very much.

One of my favorite movies of 2013. Fast-paced and suspenseful with great acting by Hanks and the supporting players. The last ten minutes are breathtaking!

The movie surpassed my expectations. I expected more of a documentary rather than good drama. I have always liked Tom Hanks especially in later works.

True story well told and excellently acted which educates the viewer, don't mess with Navy Seals. Product packaging is great and disc performs flawlessly.

Very good movie. Tough situation for a ship captain. Sometimes I wounder why we do not allow some type of self protection on these vessels. Great to see the Navy, our brave warriors, showed is such a positive way. They save an American life.

This movie was awesome when I saw it in the theater and I felt that it was appreciated enough by the audience. So to support the director and actors who made this movie possible, I bought the blu-ray movie and every one should too!!

Great movie. Better than expected. I was iffy because my husband picked it out and I'm not into action movies at all. Great story line though
