Held off purchasing and watching this movie because I felt like I knew what the movie was going to be like. Sure enough it was a labor to watch this over two hour movie. Could have chopped off at least 30 minutes in order to keep my attention in a positive mood. The pirates were portrayed as a business enterprise, while the Americans were portrayed as understanding humanitarians. A sharp shooter and a captain with sense could have prevented the whole situation. But then we wouldn't have this overdramatized film. Fortunately for me, Best Buy had a decent price on it so I wasn't financial disappointed.

This is a great movie. It is a little long. It is worth it to get the Blu ray version since you also get the DVD and Ultraviolet versions.

If you enjoy suspense. Classic Hanks, has you living the character. Takes a little while to get going, but, is a great movie..

This was a great movie. Controversy aside this was excellent. Amazing job by the pirates who never acted before and Tom Hanks is awesome.

Suspenseful! It was slightly hard to believe the military didn't act more quickly on reports of piracy. However, it was entertaining.

I didn't think I would like this movie, but it is good, have watched it a few times already and will watch it again.

Keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Tom Hanks was fantastic and deserved at least an oscar nom for this role.
