I got a nice picture. It was entertaining enough for a free afternoon.

Tom Hanks' acting was very poor and comedic. He made the seriousness of the story seem way too trivial. The issue at hand is a serious one and should not be taken lightly. A more somber actor should have been chosen to play the leading role of Captain Phillips. I thought that the movie was poorly directed and that the acting was likewise.
