You can forget Connery. You can give Moore the Boot. Dalton is left out in the cold. And Brosnan, is well, okay. But Daniel Craig and the entire cast make this mournful, dark, and even humanized version of James Bond the best ever. Not only is there no silly and campy parts to this third Craig installment, it actually makes you FEEL like this Bond Movie deserved a Best Picture and Actor and Best Supporting Actress/Actor nod. It is right up there with LOTR, Return of the King. Oscar worthy, but it did not get the praise it deserved. This Bond will reboot the next generation of Bond lovers to go back to theaters, unless they have no pulse of course. Great movie and in Blu Ray it is stunning!

Casino Royale is, by far, one of my most favorite Bond movies in the franchise's history. I love how the film begins at the start of Bond's career; it makes clear how and why he becomes a womanizing, stone-hearted man. The action sequences in the movie are superb. Great special effects throughout! Also, Craig offers a Bond never seen before; his Bond is still tough, but he also has, perhaps for the first time, a softer, vulnerable side. And although some of the poker scenes may be a little long for the blow-something-up-every-second Bond film type of audience, the final Venice scene is well worth the movie's well over 2 hours running time. Very highly recommended!

This isn't one of the usual Bond films everyone is used to seeing. There really wasn't any sneaky spy action taking place because this movie was dedicated to revealing Bond's character. It gave his life's background, how he joined MI6, and how his love life played out. We even were hinted that M may be short for ... Mom? This had one of the best opening scenes in film. Whoever the free-runner was at the beginning, he was skilled. The most memorable part of that whole scene was when crazy feet jumps through a vent in a wall and Bond just breaks through the wall itself, making the vent thing just seem fruitless.

This is one of the great Bond movies. Daniel Craig is a beast (yeah, I know... the ladies love him). For guys like me who enjoy poker, that makes this Bond movie even better. The music was great in this movie. I took advantage of a sale during Christmas and purchased Casino Royale. The DVD I rented months earlier was good but the blu ray was better. I have a 46 in Samsung tv and an old Pioneer receiver (no hdmi). I used an optical audio cable to connect the blu ray (Panasonic) to the receiver. I have a pretty decent subwoofer. The audio was fantastic and the video was superb.

Casino Royale is by far the best Bond flick since Dr. No. Ive seen every movie and loved every almost every one. The one i didnt like was all because of George L. I never liked him as Connery's replacement. Speaking of actors, i think Daniel Craig is by far one of the best Bonds yet. Craig and Connery are neck and neck! The story was awsome and the bad guy is one of the best! The movie has everything! Action, Suspense, Drama, Action, and like every other bond movie, women! My biggest regret is that i didnt get the Blue Ray disc with the extra stuff. Buy this movie you wont be disappointed!

This is a great movie, especially considering they brought in a new Bond. It has a great cast, including Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen, Judi Dench, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini, and, of course, the new Bond Daniel Craig. It's a 2-Disc collection, which is great for people who like to get the best they can get out of their favorite movies. It also has great Special Features, including documentaries on finding the new Bond and the making of the action in the movie, a music video, and the Bond Girls Are Forever documentary. This is perfect for any type of Bond fan!

Ok, so some of the gadgets were as hokey and pointless as the Bat Anti Shark Spray, but you never know when you'll need to fight a shark in your Bat Copter. I digress, this film is incredible, it brings James Bond to the modern day and makes it realistic. He looks the part of a real assasin, and looks the part of a former gung ho stoic soldier. I can't wait for the sequel to come out, and this movie was one of the few that i had to have the day it came out, at full price, which is rare for my movie buying.

The best Batman movie made yet! Chris Nolan has managed to improve upon the first Batman movie in almost every way. But of course, Heath Ledger's Joker is the main reason to see this film. He MADE this movie. Genuinely evil, creepy, and heartless, this Joker is unlike any previous version you may have seen. If you're one of the few people on the planet who hasn't seen this, you really need to do yourself a favor and buy this movie.

A great Bond movie, the last couple movies were not very good. Going back to the origins, back to the beginning, a young Bond...........awesome idea by the writers and producers. Craig nails it as the young cocky secret agent. The plot is great as well, having this secret organization pulling the strings of world politics behind the scenes and 007 going after them is just awesome. Great movie!

Majority of the James Bond Steelbook collection is gorgeous but, I really do like the Casino Royale cover. It has a lot going on in the front and back but, still looks like a classy Steelbook. I do wish however, the inside had as much thought to design as the outside did, but for an extra $2 compared to the standard blu-ray, well worth the price.

I think that having Daniel Craig as James Bond was the best decision ever. Craig makes this new Bond franchise all the more better and interesting. "Casino Royale" was a brilliant movie full of action. The story and the cinematography was amazing. If you have never seen the new Bond movies with Daniel Craig, it is a must-see. I recommend you pick yourself up a copy.

Daniel Craig, James Bond for a new generation. This film was a great reboot for a seemingly dying franchise. This film brought the action and great writing back into James Bond, and it really needed it. Craig is into his fourth film now, which just may be his last, but right now he is in the spotlight as James Bond.

Not only is Casino Royale a return to form, it may actually surpass some of the greatest Bond films of all time, like Dr. No and Goldeneye. Daniel Craig and the great direction bring a gritty edge to Bond. The action is exciting and the story just keeps moving. YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE, and you might as well buy the DVD because you'll want to see it again!

I loved this remake I felt that David Craig brought his own brand of Bond. If you are one of those people who always compare the old version to the remake than you may not like it, my Dad sure didnt, but if you have an open mind and is looking for a different kind of Bond to bring the same action coupled with the romance I would recommend this movie.

I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE WITHOUT EVER WATCHING IT HOPING IT WOULD BE WORTH IT, ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS IS ONE OF MY TOP BLU RAY MOVIES. I WATCHED IT ON MY 46" 1920X1820P SHARP AQUOS AND THE PICTURE AND COLORS WERE AMAZING. GREAT STORY LINE AND CAST. IF YOU LIKE 007 MOVIES THIS SHOULD BE IN YOUR COLLECTION. YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED.

Daniel Craig may be the best Bond yet. He is definitely more believable in that he doesn't emerge from every close encounter without a scratch. This movie provides a roller coaster ride of action and drama showing how James Bond received his double "0" status. I highly recommend this movie to action lovers everywhere.

The first film that put Daniel Craig in the iconic role of Bond, James Bond is an instant classic for me. Great story, great acting and filled with action galore, as you would expect from a Bond film. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and would recommend it to all movie fans.

This is a reset of the 007 movie series and an excellent movie on its own merits. Craig is tough but sauve, the story and action work well together although the Texas Hold 'Em scenes could be shorter or re-edited, and the Aston Martin's first aid kit is as advanced as the movie gets in terms of cool gadgets. The video quality of this Blu-ray movie is pretty amazing when the movie is viewed on a real 1080p, 1920x1080 (or better) hi-def tv/monitor. The extras are interesting but as expected, the video quality doesn't pop as much as the movie.

We really enjoyed the story line of this movie. The scenes where he was playing cards and we were introduced to Felix Leiter were great. We weren't crazy about Vesper, but she grew on us. The villain was not great, but we weren't watching it for him.
