It calculates. It’s a very basic calculator with all of the functions that you really need. It’s great to have on the desktop for those times you don’t want to search for your phone to punch up a couple of numbers. It’s a little big to put in your pocket but they have a model for that too. It’s well worth the couple of bucks that I spent
