This is a good original story with amazing animation. Dracula finally meets a woman he enjoys talking too, even though she a mortal. After years of practicing medicine for the local villagers, the church decides she a witch and should be burned at the stake. Dracula comes back after gone for several years to find his wife has been killed. He swears vengeance for his wife by trying to exterminate the human race. The graphics are amazing and some scenes are very bloody.

This is a must own for any Castlevania fan and a fan of the animated series. This show is so incredible and this makes the perfect addition to any collection especially for those who prefer to own physical items.

Please buy this! If you love this show, support the show creators directly, and not through Netflix's monthly crap. This is a shining example of how to adapt a video game. Regardless of it being LiveAction or Animated.

A lot of heart went into creating this show and adapting it from it's source material. The animation is genuinely jaw-dropping at times and the writing is witty. Any Castelvania fan will appreciate this adaption.

Didn't know what to expect but this turned out to be quite a surprise! At only 4 episodes, it's doesn't have a lot of time to tell s good story but it does a great job. Season 2 complements it extremely well.

Based on the video game series of the same name, this brings the unique perspective into Dracula into the animated media. I thoroughly enjoyed this season and look forward to the rest.

If you're into animated and vampire stories this series is for you, this one's the first season there's a total of three seasons so far I would recommend it to anyone.

It’s only four episodes and is a nice start/introduction to a series that really gets good in season 2. Sometimes the humor, violence, and language feels forced and unnatural, but ultimately doesn’t take away from the series. I’ve grown up playing Castlevania since the NES and was delighted to see characters fleshed out.

The animation is superb. I bought this awhile ago and am just now getting to the review. You only get 4 episodes, tragic, but they are dang good.

I bought this for a friend who does not have the ability to stream it on Netflix. However, it is one of the best video game to TV adaptations I have seen and I have enjoyed this as well as season two.

This cartoon didn't disappoint and was much better than I was expecting. I love the action and story. As a long time Castlevania fan this must have for my collection.

any fan of the Castlevania games will love this, has several nods, to the games, via monsters and other things in the background. the detail in this show is fantastic.

I was surprised that it's on DVD considering how Netflix is? So we went ahead and bought it to add to our collection! Also love Richard Armitage's voice. :)

You know, there are tons of great animated films out, and this one is no exception, you need to see this fast before the 2nd season comes out. Do yourself a favor and do it.

Really good start to this series. Only 4 episodes in Season 1, so it's a quick watch and will get you excited for Season 2.

The only bad thing about season one is it's too short. Season two picks up immediately after one but even then you'll want more.

Blood and action are plenty for an vampire anime based on the games. Human elements make it have staying power.
