The Celestron 2X solar eclipse viewer kit was extremely useful at a group event where all of the others had plain eclipse viewing glasses. Not only was the magnification helpful, the accompanying map and charts helped all of us to evaluate the progress of the eclipse by showing what 80% and 90%, e.g. looked like. Even wit a slight overcast, the glasses showed the outline of the sun and the shadow of the moon very clearly.

I purchased 2 sets of these for the April 8, 2024 eclipse. They were pretty good. Pros: lightweight and some magnification. Cons: have to hold them up like binoculars (compared to the cardboard "glasses" most people had; seemed to create a "double vision" effect, unlike the simpler "glasses." This was a trade-off with the magnification.

These worked really well. The lenses are 2-power and the image was clear. They are designed to fold up compactly, which is nice for storage. That's good, since I plan to hold onto them in anticipation of the next eclipse, scheduled for 2044. (I'll be 103 years old, but I'm an optimist.)

Simple to transport, easy to use, provided excellent views, and the magnification made them better than everyone else's standard eclipse glasses! Had many people ask to borrow them. And the price is great.

We used these binoculars as we viewed the sun during the eclipse. We were at a site with totality for 3+ minutes. It enlarged the view to our delight.

We had purchased different glasses, but opted for these and are glad we did. The 2x magnification meant we had a better view of the eclipse.
