I was able to get it into place using rubber bands and it works perfect at filtering the sun. But it's clearly designed only for use with a telescope, not with DSLRs too.

I just repeatedly tried to look through both of the solar viewers that came in the box and couldn't see jack squat through them during the solar eclipse! Too bad my return period just ended two days ago. Oh well, such is life.
