Meh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for my kids for the big eclipse... They were cheap, and while they worked safely, one of them lost a lens right away. Can’t complain too much, they’re made of cardboard and were inexpensive.

Darkness!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw almost nothing through the device. It was a pretty cloudy day, of course.

Don’t Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t bother purchasing these. They come two pair to a box, with no instructions. The first pair fell apart in our hands. The second pair held together slightly better, but because of gaps in the protection, we discarded it. Best Buy compounded the problem by refusing to accept the return of our second, unopened box, because it was past the FIFTEEN DAY return policy. When I protested, they have me store credit, MINUS a re-sticking fee.

Not Very Helpful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very little improvement of view with this item. They also collapsed really easily, even while holding them to our faces.

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The clarity of the optics was not as good as the free eclipse glasses they gave out at the library. And it sure didn’t look like a 2x magnification. I was optimistic then totally disappointed. Went back to the free cardboard eclipse glasses I had. Was thankful I had them as a backup because this product was really bad.

Glasses are better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This did not work for us at all. We end up having to get actual glasses. This is better for actually viewing. It's uncomfortable having to hold the viewers. I give it a 2 rating because the fold up eclipse info is very informative and good learning info.

Very good experience with Celestron viewers Apr. 6
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.East to use, sturdy and safe, I was the envy of several users of flimsy paper glasses used by others on April 6. I viewed the eclipse at a small nature preserve in southwestern Ohio, with farmers and families. Only problem was paper flap bending down and obscuring the view.

Great quality for a great eclipse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were far superior to the regular paper glasses. Not a huge amount of magnification of course but definitely made it easier to see and enjoy the eclipse. Easy and comfortable to hold, sturdy and clear! We had a wonderful eclipse experience!!

Great for the price, but a little narrow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality is decent for the price and the 2x magnification is a nice touch. My only complaint is that it is surprisingly narrow. The eye pieces are too close together for an adult. it should fit my kids well though.

Up close and personal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a close-up view of the solar eclipse, these worked great! I was confident that they were safe to use, since I got the product info from AAS (American Astronomical Society), and the fact that they were double magnifiers meant that we got to see the eclipse even better than if we had been using just the regular solar glasses. The price for the pair of viewers was certainly reasonable and Best Buy shipped them out quickly, so we got them in plenty of time. I have no complaints at all - decent price, great product, great service.
