Customers regard the Toast-Air 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven + Air Fryer favorably, particularly praising its ease of use, air frying capabilities, and compact size. Many appreciate its affordability and performance, with positive feedback on baking and toasting functions. However, some users noted inconsistencies with temperature control and the timer, while others found the fan to be noisy during operation. Good Fryer-Oven
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Chefman multi-purpose cooker works pretty well in all functions. You can bake, convection bake broil, convection broil, air fry, and warm previously cooked items. It comes with accessories needed for each type cooking: wire oven rack, broiler pan, fryer basket, and removable crumb tray. So, other than cooking utensils, it’s ready to cook. It looks good, seems well-built, and is easy to clean. This model is analog in a digital world, but all controls are placed well for reading their functions. Said controls are properly descriptive for identifying the various cooking modes. If you must have digital, Chefman also offers one. The included booklets provide helpful instruction for use and cooking tips. Like with anything new gadget, there is a learning curve to get the best results. For example, proper time and temperature setting for cooking will depend upon your experience and knowledge to prepare the food to your liking. Features: • Easily identifiable controls, as said • Toast timer has its own on/off timer, with setting for light/medium/dark toasting • An interior light (yes!) that you can turn on/off to see how your food is doing without opening door • Door has a clear glass window, and the door handle is cool to the touch • Door has Safety Auto-shutoff • Easily removable crumb tray at bottom of oven Functionality: • Air frying works very well. I like my fries crisp on the outside. Relying on prior experience with air frying and using the interior light to check on the fries, I got perfect ones the first time. • Broiling works well. I cooked salmon “steaks,” and they were slightly undercooked. Next time, I’ll know to add a couple of minutes to the timer. • Convection more evenly distributes the heat. When using it “normal” time/temperature needs to be reduced somewhat to avoid overcooking. It can provide more efficient cooking if settings are proper. • Settings for toasting bread and buns are spot on. There are some things that could be better, including: • There is no pre-heat function. So, should you put the food in right away, you will lose some of the needed cooking time. The manual says preheating should take about 5 minutes, so you add that to your timer settings. That’s not going to work every time, because the actual preheat time can vary depending on which cooking function you use. • The timer ticks as it’s counting down, which can be annoying. This is especially so if you are cooking something requiring a long time. When the timer reaches the end, there is a single ding. If you aren’t there to hear the ding, your food could burn. Also, if you open the door to check the food, make a placing adjustment, or whatever, the timer continues to count down. This is one area where digital is so much better. This is a nice product with lots of useful functions, and I think next time I would go digital. However, as to this model itself, I would recommend it, because it does work well overall.

TINY 4 SLICE TOASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy lists this as Toast-Air® 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven + Air Fryer; However, as soon as you open it you will know that it will never fit 6 slices of anything! Furthermore, on the first page of the manual it says "4 Slice Toaster Oven + Air Fryer!: BEST BUY HAS INCORRECT INFORMATION FOR THIS ITEM - - - SO IT WAS RETURNED!

Reason I returned the product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleased at first, but then after a few days the fan began making a noise, so I decided to return it to the store. I found a comparable product for the same price and purchased that. It all went smoothly and so far I'm pleased with the new Toaster Oven/Air Fryer.

Solid Air Fryer / Toaster Oven Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although the (somewhat) egg-shaped single function air fryers are still very popular, they take up noticeable counter real estate for their single function. Multi-function ovens like this Chefman are rolling out now and they improve and expand the functions of the basic air fryer. Like a traditional toaster oven, this has heating elements above for broiling, and heating elements below for baking - but it has controllable convection (fans) to circulate the hot air to assist in the evenness of cooking and to reduce cooking times. Settings are simple and intuitive - there is no digital display here, just four knobs. The convection feature and more compact size allow the oven to heat-up very quickly and I found that the oven maintained temperatures extremely well. It has a pull-out crumb tray, a baking/broiling pan, a removable wire rack, and (of course) an air-fry basket (which is just a wire basket that allows hot air to circulate vertically through the food instead of heating strictly above and below). Comes with a recipe book that includes a few simple recipes that, unfortunately, do not really highlight each of the cooking settings available (broil, convection broil, toast, bake, convection bake, and air fry) - if you want to understand how to take full advantage of all the features here, you'll probably need to invest in a cookbook designed to be used with a combo oven like this one. That one gripe aside, this is a great new convection toaster oven.

Very loud
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes this loud ticking noise every second like an old microwave would make and then would ring loudly when finished. Does not seem like a sturdy cooker and is not worth the price at all. I returned it, I could not stand the constant ticking and ringing.

Do not buy
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When i forst bought it, I would have given it a 4 star review but I am glad I waited. It has stopped working. About 1.5 months ago, ot would intermittently not work but then would be fine for weeks. About 2 weeks ago, it stopped working completely. I only purchased it in October, less than 6months before it started to not work correctly. SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

DO NOT BUY. Fan broke just outside of returnwindow
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked fine for 15 days then the fan started to grate and make loud noise when turned on. Of course, the return window closed. It cooks fine if the fan wasn't busted already. Do not buy!

Air fryer setting is meh
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks nice. The oven feature is good. But I haven’t found an all in one toaster over/air fryer that the air fryer mode is comparable to an egg shaped air fryer. This is going back and the search continues.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped working in the 7th month of light, single person use. I had my previous B&D oven for years without a problem. It was not worth the $69 I paid for it. I would not recommend it and wish I had paid closer attention to the negative reviews on Best buy and others.

A larger fryer for bigger needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wasn't the first air fryer that I've tried out for Best Buy, and it's nice to see another vendor getting into the market. The CHEFMAN is definitely worth your time when it comes to making better food for your diet. Don't think that because the controls are all manual that this appliance won't do the job for you -- it will. For most settings, you'll simply set the temperature and then adjust whichever additional control is required for how you're cooking and go -- pretty simple. And yes -- you can toast up to six slices of bread in the CHEFMAN :) If you're looking at getting a great convection oven/air fryer, this could be the appliance for you.
