Impressed !! Easy to Use, Clean. Excellent Result
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've wanted to try an air fryer for a long time, but I had two issues. 1-I didn't want to pay $100 or more for another appliance, and 2- I have low clearance under my cabinets and needed something that wasn't big or tall. While I was in BestBuy getting something else, I saw the air fryers and this one was on sale for $39.99, so I figured for $40 bucks, what did I have to lose? It was also the right size. So tonight I put some cubed butternut squash in there with only enough oil to smear with a paper towel along the tray so that nothing would stick (even though it's already non-stick). The knobs are simple: Temperature and Timer. That's it. I cooked the squash cubes for 15 minutes at 400. When the timer chimed, I took a look. WOW! These things were perfect! This is WAY better than my oven can do, and all without the pre-heating, massive cookie sheet, and waste of parchment paper lining; not to mention the massive amount of heat that my oven puts out. So....I'm sold. Also, the cooking compartment is plenty big. It looked small in the store, but in actually using it, it's good enough. Everything got browned. It turned out perfectly. The only that could go wrong now is that it breaks sooner than expected. I've only used it once, so we'll see.

Not good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put some chicken wings in and air fried them for a bit and when I took them out the wings had turned into dog poo. I must admit they weren’t greasy dog poo’s and were cooked through and through but still a Dog poo is a dog poo. Next I tried air frying some potatoes to make some yummy French fries and guess what..... Yep poo fries. This Poo Air Fryer is at least very consistent.

A great frying alternative
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally have never had an air fryer before; my wife even informed me that they were a "big deal" back in the 80s. However, the CHEFMAN Turbo Fry does successfully do what it claims to do -- fry foods without all the added oil. Our family tried out a batch of Ore-Ida shoestring fries, and everyone was really impressed. We normally fry this type of fry in a deep fryer, but in this case, we simply put an amount of the fries in the pan, set the temp and timer per the included instructions, and let the appliance do its thing. I did pull the basket out to shift the fries around a bit (as recommended). The result? The same types of finished fries without all the added oil. I have to admit, I was taken aback somewhat in that the timer was literally that -- a circular wheel that was more like setting an old-fashioned alarm clock rather than something out of the 21st century! But as just mentioned, the appliance works -- you can't judge a book by its cover in this case. It's really easy to set up, in that once you initially wash the food basket and load with food, it's simply a matter of setting temperature and time -- and then it does its thing. We definitely look forward to trying out other types of foods in this appliance, including hot snacks for our teens :)
