After using about 10 time the pan inside started to rust. Cooks fine but I not have to wrap the pan in aluminum before use.

PROS ---- 1. Good capacity, 3.7 Qt. Typical ones are 3.2 Qt 2. Pan is dishwasher safe 3. Pan is non-stick 4. Timer and Temperature in a stacked 2 knob design. Its a clean design 4. Max temp of 400F 5. Good even Frying 6. Blue and Red LED on top. Red means cooking and Blue means the tray is correctly fitted. CONS ---- 1. None so far! REVIEW ----- The first time i got an air fryer was like 2 years ago on black Friday. It was a Faberware from Walmart. And have to say that the experience was great. I could make fries and BBQ chicken wings without using oil. I think not a lot has changed in terms of functionality since then but i have to say a few things about this air fryer. The Chef mate has a nice clean look. It has a dual Knob and it controls both the temperature and the timing and i think this makes it look cleaner rather than having 2 separate knobs for temperature and time. The fry pan is a non-stick one and that's a good thing. i made sure to clean the pan before first use and the first set of fries i always throw because they always have a plasticy smell on them. I tried cooking fries and hot wings and it came out crispy and good. The cooking was actually better and more even than the faberware i had from Walmart. The faberware had a small box which told me the timing and the temperature to use for cooking fish, fries, chicken etc. I would have liked to have it on this one... The pan and the insert both are top dishwasher safe. This is the best part of the air fryer because the air fryers tend to drip a lot of oil that comes off naturally from the chicken at the bottom. Making this dishwasher friendly was a good thing for 59$, i highly recommend this air fryer. This is super value!! ------

It's very noisy while cooking, and there is no menu for how much time to cook for different food. It's pricy for this product.

Love my Chefman Air Fryer that is great for healthy cooking especially going into Fall and Winter season. Convenient, space saving, easy clean up and dishwasher safe. The Chefman Air Fryer has dual control temperature with a 60 minute timer. My chicken wings turned out just like I like them, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great for singles or small family with quick meal preparation not having to use stove or heat oven. A bonus cookbook is included to get you started right away. I know that I will be enjoying my Chefman Air Fryer for a long time.

cooks decently cheap price terrible design....the metal plate should not flow freely my other air fryers you could just empty on a plate . you try that on this you have a hot metal plate coming at you. should hve been able to clamp it in than leave it FREE FLOAATING.

the Chefman turbofry air fryer is not only a great cooking appliance, but also a very sleek and efficient machine. The design is focused on saving space with fast frying results. The basket is 3.7qts, and the whole machine is not much larger than the size of the diameter of the basket, so it's not going to take up as much counter space as some of the other air fryers. It also comes in a matte black, which lets it hide out on the counter without sticking out like a sore thumb. The matte finish is also easier to keep clean. The simplicity of the controls makes it even more elegant, and doesn't require a degree in digital appliance operation. There are no buttons, or touchscreens that sometimes don't respond, just 2 dials, one for the temperature and one for the cooking time. Making it extremely easy for anyone to cook with. It takes just a second to start cooking. The basket has a very sturdy handle attached to it. I have had some air fryers with thin handles that start wobbling after just a few uses. Not only is the basket and handle very durable, but there is also a removable tray inside that basket that is held tight by high temperature rubber guards. The tray helps the air circulate, and pops out for easy cleaning. So far I have been very impressed with the results of the food I have cooked. I don't like adding extra fat of any kind to my food, so this air fryer is perfect for that. At higher temperatures , food comes out very crispy and brown on the outside and fully cooked and juicy on the inside. It takes a little longer to cook foods compared to an oil fryer, but much faster and with better results than a conventional oven. I was also very impressed with the included recipes, as some of them would not be what you would expect to see made in an air fryer, and most of them could not even be made in an oil fryer. There are still so many recipes I want to try, off the Club Chefman website. Overall this cooks fast, with a great crispy texture on any typically fried foods. But offers way more cooking options with a cooking range of 200-400°f , and up to an hour timer.

First Air Fryer and I'm Sold

I've never owned an Air Fryer before! Having owned an oil based, messy one, I had virtually given up on using a fryer. This doesn't suffer from the same messy issues, and is much easier to clean that I anticipated. The unit is fairly simple to use. It comes with a manual, a recipe guide, and not much anything else. Just find your favorite food (plenty of recipes on various websites), and set the temperature and cook time. Even at the highest temperature (400 degrees F), the unit didn't heat up my kitchen in the 15 to 20 min cook time. Clean up was ridiculously easy, compared to an oil based fryer, just take the basket out and clean. Nothing crazy! The turn knob offers just enough resistance, and it's pretty easy to read the time and temperature. I was able to fill the basket with 2 to 3 russet potatoes, cut into fries, without hassle. Just make sure to follow instructions to move around (shake) the basket during cooking, or you'll end up with somewhat raw items. This isn't a defect of the unit, just how the heat is distributed inside the basket. Overall, I'm really impressed with this fryer, and have started using it almost daily to make something. So far, it's tackled fries, chicken strips, and I even made a steak in it! If you're looking for a fryer, are tired of oil messes, and was something easy to use without risk of burns from oil splash, this is a great option!
