Very disappointed as this air fryer started out great at first, but has become basically a paper weight.

Getting this air fryer set-up and ready to use, was pretty simple and straightforward. The analog controls were basic, but all you need to use the appliance. Included with the fryer was a Chefman Air Fryer Recipe Book - ‘Frying Fit’ - which came in handy as I’ve never used an air fryer before, and this little booklet gave me some ideas. Please do read over the Safety Instructions. Bear in mind the exterior of the fryer does get really warm, and make sure to not block the rear vent or put your hand over that area while food is cooking. The food I first tested cooking with the air fryer was prepared vegetables, so there was no need for me to coat them with a light layer of oil, as the instructions recommend. The vegetables turned out just as I’d expected them to, well-cooked through, nice and hot, moist and tasty, not at all shriveled or dried out. Next, I’m going to try making my own homemade french fries. The cooking timer sound is rather pleasant, not jarring, and if you are listening for it, you will hear it. Not in the same room? You might not. The fryer itself does make a humming sound when working, but it’s not overly loud. Just enough to remind you that it’s on. Not sure, but maybe Chefman sells accessories to go with this small kitchen appliance. If they do I’d kinda like to see perhaps a double-tiered insert, to be able to cook multiple types of vegetables at the same time, instead of having to have them all on the one tray. This Chefman Turbo Fry 3.7qt Analog Air Fryer is definitely a keeper, and a welcome addition to any home kitchen; for people looking for a more ‘healthy’ alternative to oil deep frying.
