Fast, easy, clean, and looks good at same time

The Chefman Air Fryer is surprisingly good on every level. It is very easy to use with the two turn knob settings for temperature and time. Fast cooking with a flat top that can be used sparingly to place items on top. It has a very clean and sophisticated look to it in a simplistic sort of way. The matte black or satin finish goes well with kitchen decor and the somewhat egg shape gives it a contemporary appeal. My wife and I really love this air fryer for both the looks and operation, plus it does not leave much of a mess to clean up after usage. All in all, this is a great buy for the price!

    Healthier Cooking with Less Oil

So far I am loving my CHEFMAN - 3.7qt/3.5L Air Fryer. It has a large enough basket to cook enough food to feed several people. Cooks a variety of foods to a crispy consistency just like traditional frying. For those of you who are still skeptical this is a great start to getting into air frying without breaking the bank. Pros: Fast Cooking Non Stick, easy clean Simple to use Cost Small Footprint Cons: None Overall I would recommend getting this air fryer as it offers a convenient package that can prepare foods faster and in a healthier way for the modern family or single person.

    Simple, gets the job done

The fryer definitely gets the job done. It comes with a good manual and list of recipes along with a "quick cook" general guide for various foods. Our first use of it showed a few of the things that make it "simple" like not having a digital timer - this makes it hard to get an exact time (e.g. 7 minutes) and the lack of a see-through window to observe the food; instead you have to take the tray out & have a look. Fortunately, as soon as you remove the cook tray the unit stops the timer and cooking so it's easy to resume once you've determined next steps, flipped the food, etc. The results, though, are pretty awesome - we'll never be using our oven for things like chicken/fish sticks, potatoes, etc. They are delicious out of this!

An easy choice if you'd like to start air frying

The first thing I must admit is that I’m not new to air frying. I have had an air fryer for about a year now, and I’m not one that needs to be sold on its usefulness. Heck, it’s actually the reason I wanted another one – it gives me the flexibility to cook more using that approach. The Chefman Air Fryer is the choice for this addition. Chefman’s entry into the air fryer foray is actually a good one. Once unboxed, you will encounter a very sturdy device which gives you a little confidence of its durability and dependability. I have seen air fryers with basket inserts and some without. The Chefman has a basket insert, but you can cook or heat with or without the basket. Setup is as simple as it gets – light washup, plug it up, and cook. There is a timer dial for timed cooking. How does it perform? Admirably! The basket allows you to prepare foods that have runoff while establishing crispiness, and the size of the cooking chamber is very accommodating. Chefman appears to have done a very good job at designing the cooking chamber. It produces crispiness very consistently and cooks/warms food very evenly. The only thing you won’t like about this thing is the fact you may need more room for more food. Clean up is a breeze, and aesthetically it is pretty pleasing to the eye if left on the countertop. Anyone looking to join the air fryer revolution, or interested in a second fryer for sides, warming, etc., will not go wrong with the Chefman. I certainly gets the job done, especially for an entry level product!

    Consistent Delicious Results

I am going to start by pointing out the few not-so-great points. First, the dial is analog. Although I do know that many people prefer that to digital, I believe that it is just a few, especially nowadays that most manufactures design digital controllers to be simpler than their analog counterparts, contrary to what they used to do in a not-so-distant past – and I am sure that there are still some bad implementations out there. It did not need to be Alexa compatible but it surely deserves a digital type. I must admit, though, that the analog dial for the Cheffman TurboFry is simple and easy to use. The second issue I found was that it uses a basket, which requires stirring occasionally if you use more than one layer of food. If you cooking for one or two people, then one layer will probably be enough. The basket is relatively big but not wide enough to cook a lot without layering. In a way, I actually like it because the TurboFry does not take too much space on the counter. Now that I have left the “issues” behind, I will focus on the good. The most impressive thing is the consistent, good results. I air fried chicken breasts, ribs, tater tots, French and sweet potato fries. All of them came out perfect the first time. To my surprise, the chicken breast were juicy and the seasoning tasted better than it usually would in other cooking methods. The fries came out crispy, just the way I like them. For the chicken breast, I did brushed it with a little bit of olive oil. It is not necessary but it helps with the flavoring. My picky ten-year-old daughter actually said she loved it and asked for more. That alone would have convinced me this product is excellent but I really enjoyed every food I have tried so far. Cleaning was very easy. Much easier than regular fryers. They say you can wash the basket on the top tray of the dishwasher but I hand washed it as I usually do for this type of kitchen gadget. It lasts longer that way. I would have given it a five-star rating if it were not for the analog dial. At least four and half stars but since it is not an option, I am giving it four.

This is an entry-level air fryer which does a decent job and cooking things without oil. All the controls are manual which makes it less complicated. As for air fryer it’s a great concept and it usually works out pretty well on most foods especially things that traditionally would be deep-fried. Unit is well-built black in color and has a decent size basket although one could wish for more capacity. Clean up is easy with the nonstick surfaces of the basket just soap and water is good enough to clean thIs unit.

I haven't been able to eat fried foods in years for health reasons but that has just changed thanks to this sleek guy!!! It doesn't take up much room but holds a lot! It is very simple to operate and doesn't have more controls than an airplane....One knob location with dual controls, one for temperature and one for the timer. They did a great job streamlining this unit. It has a very sleek clean look to it. The black finish blends in to any kitchen design or color should you decide to leave it out on the counter. While I admit there is a learning curve in operating it I have not killed any food or overcooked it. I have made popcorn shrimp, mozzarella sticks, french frys and more with it. Love the fact that everything is so crispy!! The chicken nuggets were amazing and not soggy like they are from the microwave. All this yummy food with none of the grease from a traditional fryer! While it does put off some heat it is nothing compared to the oven. My only complaint is you have to pay attention to make sure the basket slides all the way in as it likes to stop just short not a big deal but since the unit will operate it may not cook properly. No regrets except wondering why it took me so long to decide to try it out.

Excellent air fryer. Don’t know if I’m much of a fan of air fried French fries (not the fault of the fryer) but it cooks chicken to perfection. The wings are of restaurant quality. Healthier also! You will not be disappointed in purchasing. I can’t wait to try other things with this fryer.

Was skeptical about buying this product, but so far I am enjoying the muti faceted usage. There's only one thing I don't like: cant stop the time in a cycle. if warming something and you turn to 10 minutes but it only takes 5 minutes, you can't stop the timer.

The air fryer’s I purchased are very nice, a good size and easy to handle for the families we serve. I was very happy to find them on sale, was the icing on the cake as they say. I work for a non profit organization that we work with families living in motels so this item was the perfect item for them and they were so happy to receive.

    In A Galaxy Far Away

This CHEFMAN air fryer looks like it belongs in a galaxy far far away. Part R2 unit. Part Darth. If the food turns out good I call it my R2. If I burn something, it came from the dark side. Compared to our previous air fryer, this one is a little louder, but that is a good thing. You can hear the air flowing and know it is cooking. On top are two status lights. One is red, means it is cooking. One is blue, which means the tray is properly inserted. Get the Darth reference now? You have a dual dial on the front, the outer dial is temp and inner is the timer. The best part, the basket and insert are both top rack dishwasher safe. The rest of the unit just needs a good wipe down after cooking. DO NOT submerge the main unit. All in all, this works as expected with no bells nor whistles to really give it that 5 star rating.

I never understood the hype behind air fryers until I tried one. The Chefman 3.5L is a pretty good looking little machine with just one simple temperature /timer knob. It cooks french fries, wings, fish and just about any other frozen food pretty well. Also the nonstick cooking tray is easy to clean.

What a wonderful product! The first evening I cooked (separately) Brussel sprouts, salmon, potato wedges, and frozen mixed vegetables. I tossed them in olive oil first and then added seasoning in the basket. The frozen veggies were just good but the rest was great! Just for fun, I tried toasting an English muffin this morning. The basket is just right for one muffin (split open). 4.5 minutes @ 400deg. Perfect!
