Finishing looked good upon opening but had error “E1” and after looking up on Google it’s a problem and needs to be taken back to customer service. I returned and opted for a different brand.

Stopped working within 2 months!!! Never had this happen with other air fryers!!

Took it out of the box and it wouldn’t turn on. Would like a new one as this one may be defective

This is my first air fryer and I have to say I'm sold. Think cooking at the speed of a microwave but with the results of an actual oven. Chicken comes out crispy not soggy. Tater tots and fry's perfect every time. This unit has a super easy highly intuitive interface with just 5 buttons (Temp, Time, Minus, Plus, and Start) I found the cooking volume to be very adequate to feed two people though with air frying it's okay to cook in small batches if you need more food. The cooking pot and cooking tray are both non-stick and are dishwasher safe but I would advise against doing that too much as the manual says it affects the life longevity. So I will be hand washing it all the time.

Overview—for clarification, I’ve never owned an air fryer before. It’s one of those things I’ve considered but when I think about the dishes to be made with it, I’d draw a blank. It didn’t help that the air fryer doesn’t include any sample recipes with the appliance. That said, the transition has been a simple and pleasant experience. The 4.5qt Cheffman has ample room for just about anything in it. Takes up about the same or slightly less countertop real estate as my conventional oven (although it’s height is a bit higher). Very simple to use and understand interface buttons (Time, temp, +, -, start). No presets. An elegant finish (black/stainless) for most kitchen color schemes. Easy to clean non-stick tray and basket. All-in-all, a very easy fryer to use and operate. If there’s one however, thing I’d say needs a little improving is the documentation. It’s “get you started” section just tells you “you can cook just about anything in an air fryer between 300-400 degrees”. That didn’t really help me figure anything out. Nor the contradictory information I’d find between the documentation and information I’d find from a online recipes on making a certain dish. Finding recipes on the chefman website took a bit of time and ultimately saw the “access code” road block. I got lazy to look for this code in the packaging at the time of writing. You should be able to just enter your model number or select from the air fryers they offer. This is poor design. Pros— Ease of use. Elegant design. Even cooking. Tactile buttons. Large basket. Easy to clean non-stick surface. Cons— Very basic, no presets. Not much documentation. No sample recipes to get started. Chefman website could be more user friendly with recipes.

This device broke within 2 weeks of owning it. It wont even turn now now

This is a great air-fryer, has cooked everything thrown in it (turkey burgers, chicken fries, french fries) thoroughly and deliciously! It is very intuitive to use and much better than our 7 year old fryer from a different brand. The basket is easy to clean by just putting in the dishwasher. All in all, highly recommended!

This is a nice looking appliance. I mean truly it’s not really different from other air fryer besides the fact that it’s digital. I love the size of it because I’m able to fit more chicken wings inside. It cooks chicken to perfection. Don’t care too much for cooking fries in it so I’ll stick with the traditional way for cooking those. But this is a very nice air fryer and you won’t be disappointed.

This is my first air fryer, I have to say I'm quite pleased with it. We bake alot of stuff in the oven, so this was a nice change as it makes more sense from a power consumption point of view. French fries and chicken tenders will also always be crispy without all the extra grease as well. Easy to use, easy to clean however I wish there were presets for certain foods on this unit.

I made the best wings ever in this air fryer. Under 20 mins. I didn't get this type of experience when I first started looking for an air fryer. It's super easy to clean and cooks evenly. The touch controls are very simple.

I know I'm late to the party, but this is my first air fryer...I'm not a HUGE fan of gadgets in the kitchen where it only one purpose (ex. quesadilla maker) and then you cant do anything else with it. This thing has really simplified my life and I haven't even used all of the available features yet... So far I've made shrimp, chicken wings, regular fries and sweet potato fries and everything has been awesome! I want to dehydrate some fruit next, but haven't had a chance to do it yet. The biggest takeaway from this unit is its versatility.... It's several appliances in one, and that's something I love.

I bought this model as it was top of the list at Consumer Reports. It’s very easy to use and performs as advertised.

Looks great on the counter and cooks well and quickly. Good size for one or two people. The open grooves in the cooking vessel hold small pieces of the cooked food if they are blown around from the fan making cleaning the vessel a bit more difficult, but when cooking basic items, cleanup is a breeze. I think the one I have is defective because the audio sounds (shake feature, end timer, button presses, etc.) can barely be heard. The machine is wonderfully quiet when cooking and the display is large and bright. Overall it's a nice air fryer and does the job for which it is intended.

I got the Chefman TurboFry RJ38-SQ-45T as a gift for mother's day and I love the look and the size and it has great reviews but unfortunately I have not used it because it did not come with a basic recipe book like every other appliance I have ever owned. I am thrilled to finally have an airfryer but I don't want to have search the internet for basic recipes like fried chicken wings or time and temperature for frozen chicken nuggets or honey barb que wings. When I tried to search for recipes the ones that populate are not for my specific airfryer. One of these days I will be able to find a recipe and experience some food I can actually cook in it.

As of 1/16/2024 this air fryer that i purchased is still working. Best money spent.

This item was returned, not that it was faulty but because my husband wanted something larger. We did use it a couple times and it’s absolutely one of the best air fryer that I have use and very user friendly

This is a great air fryer. Head and shoulders above the one we owned before this one. Got it on a BB daily deal.
