Did anybody else notice that there’s no vents on the side of the basket for air to blow down below the food? The owners manual shows there’s Vents on the sides of the basket but nope. There’s absolutely no way for the heat to get down below the sub floor especially if you’ve got the basket full of food. I put the basket half full with chicken tenders and the heat was not getting down to the lower area very well that’s why there’s supposed to be vents on the side of the basket to get air down below it up through the subfloor that you place in the bottom of the basket. Also the basket is a pain in the butt to slide into the unit. It somehow catches on the left side and you really have to work at it to get it to slide in properly.

The silicon covers seem like an extreme choking hazard. Will return. Enjoyed the food we cooked.

We did struggle with it staying off while closing drawer. After 18 months it just stopped working. There were no signs that it would die.The chord was not loose, everything seemed fine previous to it stopping.

It was to be all "stainless steel" but it's not.Right from the start there were issues. The time and temperature was extremely finicky and had to be touched a certain way along with the other buttons or they wouldn't work. It took a very long time to heat/cook food compared to a smaller, older, cheaper model I had. Now it doesnt work at all! The screen stays lit up but it doesnt matter how or how many times you press the buttons, it will not start! With all the great reviews, I expected better. I am so disappointed! I definitely would NOT recommend.

At time, fan made a skidding noise. I may have got a defective one. The item was returned back to the store the next day. The pizza turned out ok beside the noises.

The very large capacity answers the biggest complaint I have had about previous fryers. By their very nature, these need to be big. But this does a good job of balancing size & capacity. In fact, I don't think I have seen one with a larger capacity yet. Cleaning is very easy. The included time guidelines are actually very accurate. As for ease of use, the touch controls are clear and easy to understand. Also, the touch controls (as compared to most other air fryers that use a dial) allows for more functions. There are a ton of air fryers on the market as they have become very popular. But as someone who has used these for a few years I would say do yourself a favor and go top of the line with this Chefman. If you go with a small one with less features you will quickly outgrow it and wish you had gone with this one in the first place. Easily recommended!

Buttons are difficult to set correctly. It sometimes doesn’t read the input immediately and then catches up and blast through the temperatures and cycles back to the lowest setting. Also food doesn’t cook evenly.

There was an electrical error, I'm currently trying to return it and get a new one. It was a real shame considering it looked very nice. Hopefully if I get a new one it will be better than this one.
