I have had an instant hot tap for years. It died after 14 years. The first replacement lasted 3 years, the next just over a year and the last one did not last 90 days. So, I gave up on the instant hot tap and went with this hot pot. Works great. Just not as fast as I hoped. Looks good on the counter.

Broke a plastic kettle I had and I searched for another. This is even better. Great for clumsy ppl like me. Boils my newborns water fast. Heats quickly. Very clean takes up little space. Great price no need to spend hundreds to boil or hve heated water
